It's because the population is so low that it can't find suitable players to match with and against at the tike of your starting a search. If it did that, matches would probably take 5-15 minutes to load.

The system worked fairly well when the game was new.

How did blue team and osiris return to Sanghelios from Genesis so quickly in just a pelican? Did Exuberant Witness make a slipspace bubble for them? Can pelicans even travel through slipspace? Did they fly the pelican into the cryptum and then have EW transport it?

Wouldn't Cortana be monitoring Sanghelios with a guardian? Aka no functioning spacecraft or technology?

Did Exuberant come with them? She would be great to have as a little AI buddy to interact with forerunner technology for us, likely will be needed if we are going to Bastion

This is a map where you absolutely need to use the plasma pistol.
The M6D Pistol straight up breaks Hang Em High, and this is coming from somebody that defends it as a starting Weapon most of the time.

The field is too open and exposed. There's no sense in outing yourself as you make a dart for Sniper if you already essentially have one in your pocket.

On custom edition, people have modded in a quick firing version of the Halo 2 magnum and resudced nade explosion range.
The resulting game works perfectly.
