Usually the websites like mmo-champion have up to date information coming out as the panels are live anyway.

Events like blizzcon are about shitposting in a thread on Veeky Forums together with other while watching the stream. Refreshing a static page waiting for info or reading others' comments wouldn't be very fun.

They move stuff around. In Samuro's "building the nexus" video they shed some light on how they delay hero developements (for fucks sake, Samuro was THE FIRST hero they started developing and he was released only just now). For example, Rexxar was supposed to come out last summer, but then they delayed him because of Eternal Conflict event. And Samuro was decided to come out only after Rexxar, but then LoTV got released, so Artanis pushed him back, then Blizzcon where they decided that there's not enough ranged AA assassins (plus OP Kael meta would've just destroyed Samuro) so thye moved him more, then there was Tracer hype, Warcraft movie "hype" so they had to release Gul'dan and Medivh and that'd be too much orc for one summer so they moved him more and so on and so on.

So yeah, they move stuff not only a month apart. Mengsk and Mekatorque abillities strings were in thegame for a while. For all we know, they may even be playable at Blizz fortress realm, but they can still not come out for another year. Same with Varian and Malthael with recent "leaks"
