its a blue bar of irish spring soap

its all smooth and curved so it fits in your palm and slides over your body

the spoiler is for increased suds

Woohoo. But they did they have to make it so hideously edgy?

So Honda made a Subaru clone?

More like evo with those turbulence dohickies

the "Cleaner" non-rice version.

That is one ugly machine

If it's not 2,800 lbs or less then I could care less. It looks like a riced out bloated family car.

So you do care about it?

the civic type r has always been a riced out family car. that's the point

>cleaner
>exactly the same as before but with a (probably cosmetic) hood intake instead of (probably cosmetic) fender slots
>also despite all the black on it and the color and black on the other one they still have those stupid fucking chrome doorhandles

>implications

Hate hatchbacks, but if i had to buy honda, that would be the one.

If it's over 2,800 lbs then there's no way I can put up with those looks. The old ones were all about being stripped out and minimalist with a high revving naturally aspirated engine.

If the new one is over 2,800 lbs nope
If the new one is turbo-charged with less than 350 bhp nope
If the new one is naturally aspirated with less than 250 bhp nope

Nah man if I'm honest it made me dry heave a bit

What are the chances it's SH-AWD?

This guy gets it. Civic a shit.

yeah, you do like it a little. Always civics (albeit older models, 5th 6th gen) at the tracks

myself I don't own a civic, but I had a 6th gen Si as my first car... it was surprisingly fun on the track for a fwd torqueless wonder.

aero usually means edgy looking so probably yes

Did Honda outsource the car design to ASUS and Alienware?

that's not a civic

> Easily $35,000+ american dollery doos
> FWD civic with a LSD
> The RS and STI, and even the Golf .:R exist

The idiots that buy them wont have to live with their mistake long as they will be stripped for parts the instant they are left alone.

Why even try Honda?

What's with car styling these days it's absolutely foul, especially Jap cars they seem to get uglier each year.

Because we all hope that they bring back more exciting models such as the prelude and integra which were fun (yes fwd hurr durr) to drive.

pic unrelated

I don't know if your a honda shill but what do you think of the new NSX? Its preparing to enter IMSA and european GT3.

I think it will do much better in GT3 internationally than the GTR did.

>Be 2016
>Honda finally releases a Type-R Sportscar
>FINALLY
>New Acura NSX launched

Do I smell Honda/Acura bringing back sport cars or is this just a tease? I really want them to make a brand new Acura sports car with a V6 Twin Turbo or a V8. Anything weighing under 3500 with around 380hp is a-okay.

All faith lies in hondas new s2000
They will need to do another breaktrough for it to succeed in todays times. NA revs to 10k? 300 hp? 1.1 ton?

Doubtful. 1.6L turbo, 280bhp, 3,200lbs.

>or a V8.

unpopular opinion but if they made a mew S2000 with a high revving NA V8 and made it undercut the Corvette stingray in price that could be a instant fucking hit.

>I think it will do much better in GT3 internationally than the GTR did.

Those are some big shoes to fill, the GTR was high competitive in pretty much every series it was in. But the test results from PWC show it's a solid car.

My body is ready....

I just happen to like Honda' history from its inception to the 90's when they still had "fun" light cars. How Senna was involved with the NSX, their awesome motorcycles... hell, even their lawn mowers are amazing. Was really excited at the HSV-010 youtube.com/watch?v=JCR6ud7NVOE. Not sure what happened to that car..

damn... what a beauty

>GTR was high competitive in pretty much every series it was in.

How many races did it win in GT3? would this image be accurate? got it from this website
racingsportscars.com/suffix/Nissan/GT-R/Nismo GT3.html
it didn't seem like it won a lot but maybe i'm misunderstanding the metric.

they actually dont

This actually sort of makes me want to drive it.

TOO MANY DOORS

>the civic type r has always been a riced out family car
Doesn't look that riced out to me. A cop wouldn't look twice at the EK9.

Jesus, did they even try to align the body panels?

The GT-R in GT3 was a slug, everywhere else it has been pretty darn tough to beat.
Ultimately though, it was always going to struggle in lower power series.
