Is the Mazda MX6 a bad car?

is the Mazda MX6 a bad car?
I'm currently saving to move to the US from Australia and these things are really cheap where I live, I drive a very boring sedan and instead of buying a newer more expensive car, I just want to sort of side step to something more fun until I'm locked in to move

1500 for a 2 seat coupe with a roadworthy sounds insane to me even though its front wheel drive

theyre pretty nice

a more comfortable less handling oriented Ford Probe

the KL sounds great too

for the non Australians a Roadworthy (in NSW particularly) is a certificate that your car has been inspected every second year by our DMV, and they are pretty thorough, so if it has a roadworthy it at the least runs enough to pass inspection

for reference, I drive a Toyota Avalon which I think I can get about 3500 for being with relatively low km's

it's practical, and ive thrashed it for the 50,000km's of first car it's been with literally no parts braking

>not mine but same car...it's not exactly a car I take carporn pictures of

>less handling oriented Ford Probe
Youve got that backward

the MX6 to me is that car everyone forgets about at the moment
even used car reviewers really like them

120kw isnt much but it's not a bad car

your alternative is a prelude or a celica if you can find one cheap, but 1500 is insane

being FF kills the price, if it was FR it would be up there with the mr2 commonly for $10,000~

But, if youre a casual driver and you arent trying to rip skids all day its a great car... You will always know the power is at the wrong end though

no I dont

the MX6 has softer springs and a higher ride height

it was the "luxury" car of the 2

Im tired of having this argument...
Be a retard if you want. Believe what you want. I dont care anymore.

I get tired of fanboys pretending to know stuff

but whatevs you know

>probe is 200lbs heavier
>implying anyone leaves 20 something year old stock springs on anyway
>the mazda handles better in reality
>they use the same springs anyway
>wanting anything with a ford badge
Kek

they are shit cars with shit aftermarket support.

Don't buy it.

Do they shit the bed under light usage? And it doesn't sound like he intends to replace anything not damaged.

I moved from US to Australia on work visa. When I was there I drove a Mazda 3 because theyre cheap and nice for what they are.

The 6 is alright. Australia is really car friendly so don't worry. Honestly whule you're there you should try to find a Holden because it'll make you American car nerd friends jelly.

Get an MX-3 GS with the KL-DE instead. Sexy hatch with revs for days. Handles really well too.

>>the mazda handles better in reality

stiffer springs are to compensate for the weight of the vehicle. lighter cars are always softer sprung.

>EF civic here

super soft springs and 2000lb curb weight. it doesn't exactly ride like a Cadillac

>muh ford/mazda badge

dumb fuck badge whoring ricer detected

Friend of mine has one, I like it.

It does a little bit of everything you might want. It's planted but comfortable. It's powerfull enough for a daily but doesn't guzzle. It looks sleek but has some token seats for emergencies and a largeish boot.

The rear bank of cylinders is a bitch to work on though.

I'd say go for it.

>stiffer springs are to compensate for the weight of the vehicle
Except they werent stiffer. They sat lower than the mazdas because of the weight.
Does simple logic escape people around here? Fucking hell...

Op here, thanks for the advice, I'll probably buy it and have some fun with it until I move, not going to mod anything, only whats needing to be replaced, im tempted to buy it as a second car for now and selling the avalon over time, if rego wasn't fucking 800/year in victoria id keep both (for now) I can afford a much more expensive car, I just dont want to use any of my savings for the US, thanks guys, but feel free to keep this banter going or if anyone has other input

The MX-3 never came with a KL, the biggest it got was the 1.8l K8.
KL bolts right in though, if that's what you mean.

>FWD
in the trash it goes

Looking at these with close to 200,000kms (150,000m+) what issues are they facing?
