the manual says they recommend premium like HP recommends you only use their ink in their printer. but the truth is you can do otherwise.

i keep seeing the argument on chevy or camaro forums that you can use regular and the car automatically retards timing but sacrifices accel and may knock a little under heavy accel, but you just put premium in when you want to and youre good to go.

pretty sure this is why i cant get a straight answer anywhere just by googling it. even chevy doesnt ever say, definitely "USE PREMIUM".

afterthought: why would chevy design in this timing retard feature at all? in case you cant find premium somehow? when would that ever be the case. if you somehow accidentally put regular in it? when the fuck would that ever be the case??
