Have you had any major issues with the car? I heard the transmissions are bad, but they look so good, and I want one

List of issues I've had.

>valve cover gasket leaks on occasion
all the gaskets I get are slightly too big
>Thermostat housing cracked, second thermostat cracked at the sensor housing
Contour housing works best, you can get a kit or go full alloy for 300 bucks. It's a driveable problem if you are a lazy sack of shit and go smooth.
>bad ball joint, sway bar struts, motor mounts, tie end rods
130k miles though so it needed done anyways

It's just chatter that goes away when you press the clutch in, it can go on forever without actually having an issue, more of an annoyance.

I actually believe I just have a connection issue somewhere.

As for the transmission I've not had any actual problems with it. like I said 130k and its still very smooth. Could have had nice owners before I got it though.

I will say make sure to get the timing belt done, and don't be surprised if you get VCT issues once you do it the first time.

The bigger problem is starting to find certain parts, since Ford discontinued them.

But in reality the cam sensor took a shit 2 years ago and it was the only thing that took a shit on the car.

Ive just done the required maintenance and a little beyond that to just make sure she is in tip top condition.

They are rather expensive to own, but if you can afford it, you will be happy.
