Funny part is that I didn't even interfere on the balkanization of France at the beginning. England, Burgundy+Brittany and [I think] Castile did it.

I would only release and vassalize Gascony when they were weak.

I eventually took the English and Castilian provinces on southern France, but the damage was done.
