>How are scribes similar to Monks besides their haircut anyway?
BoS in general is inspired by medieval knights (duh) and A Canticle for (((Leibowitz))).

Post Couriers!

>E is for America
More like E is for extinct, eradicated, erased, extinguished, eliminated, exhausted, empty...

Quick, claim your Power Armorfu before somebody else tries to get inside her

...

Winterized T51b for that high item HP and durability.

>power armor
Urrgh

>says the shithead who probably thinks that combat armor or metal armor is any good at high levels

>wearing big clunky armor at all
You shouldn't be taking damage at all. All you need is a quick, steady hand and a good gunfu.

>not thumping around as a walking tank with a massive fully automatic firearm (gun, EW, explosive - all are acceptable as long as they're sufficiently bulky)

Who needs to be a walking tank when you're roleplaying as a Clint Eastwood style gunslinger?

If Clint Eastwood was alive in 2281, he probably wouldn't wear a fucking poncho, that would be equivalent to him using sharp sticks and rocks instead of modern (for his time) revolvers and lever-action rifles. Dress-up based roleplay is stupid, IMO, though if you enjoy it - more power to you.

>power armor isn't impervious to bullets or laser/plasma based weapons
>can be slowed down by EMP based explosives

I'll stick to simple attire rather than strapping hunks of metal to myself. This is why plate armor became obsolete once muskets became a thing. No point turning myself into a big, slow target if a simple projectile is going to do as much damage to me as the guy wearing fuck all.

Maybe I'll throw on a protective vest or combat helmet to protect the valuables, but that's about it.

...

>>power armor isn't impervious to bullets or laser/plasma based weapons
It's pretty close to.
>>can be slowed down by EMP based explosives
Yes the average fucking raider is gonna have an EMP weapon.

PAs are top of the line, they're just super-rare so an average person isn't going to even see one.

>Still no progress on changing the color of a plasma projectile
Fug

What's wrong with green?

Nothing is wrong with green, I just wanted to make a plasma gun that shot a blue bolt

Blue plasma?! That's.. that's blasphemy!
You're a blasphemer!

Would a sunshine yellow be more acceptable?
Bring the mighty power of the sun in a nice portable gun that murders the shit out of vampires

>sunshine yellow
>murders the shit out of vampires
Gun Del Sol is perfectly fine with me.
I'm not being serious at all btw.

...

But I still don't know how to change it's color. Everything else is properly colored, just not the projectile itself
This is all I get in nifskope, all the colors I can find are set to blue, but the projectile is still blue

Green, you mean.
Sorry, I dunno what to say, I don't know anything about making mods.

Ask Xilandro...

couldn't choose

Anyone knows some good performance mods?
I'm pretty much stuck to my laptop and i want to play Fallout New Vegas so badly.

yup, nvac, nvsr

I heard good stuff about this: nexusmods.com/newvegas/mods/45475

4gb loader
nvse

I was legit scared of the Ghost Harvesters until I actually fought one and got told to dismember them. Would have been better to figure out on my own

There's a reddit link that has a list of mods and .ini tweaks, I'm running NV on a nothing laptop, with Windows 10, and it's mostly playable

YEAAAAAAAAAAAH

WHO WON THE LOTTERY?

I DID!

My problem with ghosts was that for zombies caught in rusty suits with visors flashing the vision out of them, the fuckers are perceptive to the point of being near impossible to sneak up on without a stealth boy, and that's in a place where you spend most of the time without armour or any good damaging weapon. There is a number of solutions for dealing efficiently with them, and they aren't that dangerous in any case, but until I figured those out, I walked away from every encounter with crippled limbs and short on stimpaks.

...

That's actually a bug

Yeah if I remember right they were supposed to have 0 perception but due to a bug they actually have infinite perception or some shit

Define a nothing laptop

This is what a non-virgin looks like. What's your excuse?

Fuck Myron.

> Myron and Boone were voiced by the same lad
I'm still mindblown.

What if Myron was Boone's granddaddy?

That would be weird as hell.

Boone was born in 2255, while Myron died in 2242 aged around seventeen, so that would imply that Boone was not just a grandson of a whore, but likely also a son of one. Or of a slave, since who cares about that in New Reno, especially considering that the Bishops winning is canon, which could add an additional layer of his feelings about the Legion…
Brb, writing to Obsidian to make it canon.

Why does the NCR declare war with everybody wearing power armor and a weapon more modern then a spear.
>Enclave Oil Rig gets blown up
>Suddenly they are a threat to the region despite most people only knowing about them flying around places
>Helios-1 doesn´t have space for 2 factions
>They declare war on the BoS despite them helping against the Enclave
>In both cases their philosophy was leave no survivors

Saving Tandi was a mistake

The Enclave were literal Nazis who wanted to exterminate all mutated life in North America, and the BoS have, since the events of F2, repeatedly proven themselves to be unwilling to cooperate with anyone at all: remember that the BoS is barely a concern in the NCR's questline, while the BoS itself is wholly concerned with how the NCR is doing is whether they can be pushed back from the Mojave.

More of a military dictatorship. I saw no socialism in the oil rigs community.

Get the fuck back to /pol/ and never return.

You mad?

Why is there no good Dalek enemy mod for New Vegas?

> /pol/ shitposter is only able to shit out a meme response
Q.E.D.
Now do get the fuck out.

>shitposting and then shitposting shitposting
this user is the meta

You should fuck off back to tumblr, /b/ or /v/ where you clearly belong.

This is not your fucking board. You are not welcome here. Fuck off to your echo chamber.

Why are you so frustrated someone think the Enclave is a military dictatorship?
Seriously, you're obviously mad as fuck.
Why?

> /pol/tard doing his usual routine
Fuck off, you dumb shitposter.

You're the only one shitposting.
You got bent out of shape for an accurate depiction of a faction from a videogame series.

What's wrong?
Who hurt you?
Was it a military dictator?

He mad.

> /pol/tards attempting to appear smug
Fuck off, retards.

Seriously user, I'm honestly asking.
Were you or your family hurt by a military dictator?

It's the only way I can understand you being this mad about the Enclave.
Please help me understand.

If you don't want political discussion then don't bring it up.
Discussing a factions intentions is improved when you.... understand their structure and hierarchy.

Stay mad.

Fuck off, /pol/tards. There's the whole of /v/ for you to infest.

All you've got is "go away meanies"?
You're not making yourself out to be someone we should listen to.

Besides, I don't understand how someone stating an accurate description of a faction in a videogame means they're from /pol/.
You know military dictatorships have existed long before /pol/ and that many, many people know they exist, right?
They exist IRL right now.
They're not some thing /pol/ made up.

Fuck off, /pol/tard.

Fuck off, retard.

>trying to reason with a shitposter

You don't even attempt to deny that you're /pol/tards. Fuck off already.

He mad.
Leave him be.

Gotta hold out hope that not everyone is absolutely retarded.
Still, optimism causes me nothing but grief.

I did, but you'd need to be able to understand the English language properly and I highly doubt you can, given your track record.
I'm going to highly recommend suicide.

Seriously, honestly, you need to kill yourself for the betterment of the human race, nigger.

I am also a v/vr/vg/a/f/fa/fit/tard.
Stay mad bro.

Fuck off, /pol/tards.

Fuck off, mutie.
The Enclave has no use for your kind.

Fuck off, /pol/tard.

Do you think the BoS have always been hording control freaks? I always thought of them as chroniclers.
Maybe I missed something from 1 and 2.

@159303339
nigger

Fuck off, /pol/tard.

They're a bit of both.
Still, Vree specifically states that taking down their history isn't as important as her research and production of tech, so it's probably dependent upon the head Scribe as to what's focused on more.
Then you've got Paladins out doing their stuff which is mostly capture-control, so again, it's down to who's calling the shots.

Elijah was all about getting new tech to make better tech, but McNamara was all about hiding and waiting until they could go out and learn new things.
Leadership is important.

It does appear that what happens is dependent on the leader and the general idea can be interpreted differently from leader to leader. That give some leeway in how the faction can be used.
I suppose some leaders could use the actions of past leaders to justify things if they really needed to. Kinda like a court.

>I suppose some leaders could use the actions of past leaders to justify things if they really needed to. Kinda like a court.
Exactly, yes.
That's called 'precedent'.
It's actually what you can use to McNamara removed from his position of Elder.

I would prefer a set structure of their beliefs, however the pliability is useful and is just another means of developing ideals.

>I would prefer a set structure of their beliefs
I've been waiting for them to release a full, hard cover print of the Codex for a long time now, user.
I feel you.

Under Bethesda though, it's never going to happen.
They're not going to go out of their way to make canon to disregard in the next game and there's too much effort required to create the Codex for such little profit.

...

They don't attack him for some reason.

Except for when they do?

...

Wait, does that make BoS a military dictatorship? lol

What do you mean?
How does the Codex make them a military dictatorship?

I don't mean the Codex I mean the military origin and ranking system adopted because of said origin. Though it could be more of a twin dictator thing like with the scribes kinda separate from the paladins though still of the same faction.

They're all still lead by the Elder and, in some cases, a council of Elders.
Elders retire and transfer their positions to other members and, while you can't break the chain of command and they are a military, many Brothers do have a say in what's going on instead of one person calling all the shots, so I wouldn't call them a dictatorship.
Honestly, they're closer to a democracy than a dictatorship.

Fairly worded.
Military is a form of governance so it is a military (government).
To say they have a say in what happens is to say they can give suggestions. They can make suggestions to the High Elder or Elder council, however in the end they have the final word. If someone disobeys orders they are outcasts and deserters.

>They can make suggestions to the High Elder or Elder council, however in the end they have the final word
Yes, but the High Elder confers with the Elders or the single Elder confers with his trusted associates, it's not just a one man show.
A dictatorship requires a dictator.

>If someone disobeys orders they are outcasts and deserters.
The same could be said for most governing bodies.
And higher-ups having the final say is present in every system.
It's just how things work.

I should have clarified that I dropped the "dictator" part.

The level of freedom is in question it seems. Though I more freedoms in a democracy than I would if I joined the military. I would have freedom to come and go as I please, were as troops are ordered off base.

anyone know where i can get a copy of resurrection Dead edition? the mod?

>I should have clarified that I dropped the "dictator" part
Now that I look back, I see you did drop it.
My bad, but it's still nice to discuss the good Brotherhood.

>The level of freedom is in question it seems
Oh, of course you'd have very little freedom, but there's many reasons as to why it's not such a bad thing.

The wasteland is a fucking shithole.
Not being able to run out into a desert filled with things trying to kill doesn't seem to bad.
Essentially every aspect of your life is taken care of down there, you've got food, water, entertainment, firing ranges, etc.
Hell, drugs aren't banned either. Although I assume there'd be issues with Jet.
This ties into the wasteland being dangerous, but if you die out there, you're not easily replaced.
They can't just fill some fatigues with a conscript and call it a day, they have to wait for someone else to grow up.
Then there's losing your PA, Energy Weapons and whatever tech you have.

Wrong thread, faggot.

Maybe it's a bug, but every time I go at that location, he's alive.

Excuse me, sir.
Do you have a moment to talk about our Lord and Saviour, the Chosen One?
