I have 35k to spend on a car. I want something German and it has to be a manual. It doesn't have to be stupid fast from the factory but I'd like it to have really good tuning potential.
Also considering a Subaru WRX. Maybe.

All of them are within budget and you'll still have enough to bring them to good condition and then play with them to get more power.
You aren't going to find a german car for 35k. Just get a wrx. I have a 2017 and it's fast. Definitely isn't as comfy as a german car so if that's what you want save up some more shekels.
