I think you also can't knife construction items despite being able to damage them with small arms fire, maybe they globally changed some damage category for deployables to no longer be knifeable

Right now it's pretty much exclusively being used by vets / really suspicious accounts with 50%+ accuracy and head shot ratios - the logged statistics so far show it performing something like 30% better than the Betelgeuse (which is currently the highest dps LMG)

However, if we control for the aforementioned really suspicious accounts and use more typical numbers for average (20% acc/hsr) and top players (30% acc/hsr), the naginata ends up sitting around the middle of the LMG pack, right next to the NS15.

I did some playing around with it. It is definitely not for a mobile playstyle. You gotta sit still and shoot and make sure you shoot first. In long corridors it is a monster. You're never going to win a duel if someone gets the jump on you.

And it isn't 200 damage per bullet.

Gauss SAW doesn't perform too badly under sustained fire either if you compensate for vertical recoil, actually.
The big boolets are enough assrape to compensate for the occasional missed shot.

I do prefer the Gauss SAW, though. It has a lot more power behind it.

That would only be true if the fire rate was higher, a missed shot on a slower gun translates to a much larger loss in output.

The vertical recoil on the gauss saw can be compensated for, the bloom on the other is more complicated.

Basically the big boolet is too inaccurate when fired in a burst long enough to kill someone because of the godawful bloom - by the time you've reached boolet 4-5 your CoF is already poking around the target at 30-50m. So you have to further extend TTK, with a weapon that already has low DPS for its class, by burst firing.

The Gauss Saw should have the bloom reduced to 0.06 instead of the current 0.07

I'm not positive that this would fix the issue, but it's a good start.

I have many fewer hours because I only play occasionally, then lose interest for a few months, then come back again.

Overall, the game has mostly become worse because of Russians, but otherwise it's getting better.
Broken patches and performance regressions have always been a part of this game. I remember times when the rubberbanding was ridiculously bad.

Last time I checked PS2 was a MMOFPS. On the MMO side the population keeps dwindling to the point where they decided to put fake cont locks for the sake of "balanced fights" but we all know it's just to hide that there's never a real cont lock anymore except during week ends.
