What companies you'd like to see making cars?
ITT
I know CAT makes on-road trucks but I'd like to see them make rugged bad ass looking pick-up trucks or SUVs.
Dassault and Matra should go back to making cars.
That way France would stop being the laughing stock of the automotive industry.
Wait, Dassault made cars in the past?
Sony
Aren't CAT trucks just rebadged Internationals?
If I'm not mistaken, they did at points participate in the construction of some automobiles. They didn't do everything themselves like Matra or Hotchkiss though.
UK is the laughing stock, not France.

It would fall apart after two years, but who gives a shit, it was 500$ new.
Because fuck reliability
>two years
If you do a lot of driving its more like 5 months

The UK still has some bragging rights with
>muh F1 teams all based in Britbongistan
>muh Jaaaaaaaag
>muhcLaren
>muh shed-dwelling carmakers
on the bright side though, Alpine coming back might help make France great again and make people forget about Peugot being an embarassment to the nation.
It would be cool if John Deere made half-ton work trucks of somesort, although someone might eventually buy one and turn it into a cuckmobile.
Who cares? Take it back and get a new one for free.
I'd like to rejoice about Alpine coming back but
>push button DCT
>1.6L turbo
>huge ass R-Link iPads stolen from a twingo
>muh soul and passion

If it works, perhaps it could motivate other constructors to start making sport cars again instead of the usual boremobiles with sport version unavailable to the general market.
That said, I'm worried about the rumors of an Alpine SUV. It could be them trying to make a rally-bred powerhouse, or them trying to turn into the french Land Rover.
Heard those rumors too, I guess if you expect something radically different from a rebadged, upgraded Captur/Kadjar with a few more luxuries and maybe a few more bhp you'll be disappointed.
Though I also do hope that things like the Alfa 4C or the upcoming Alpine will encourage more manufacturers to do some fun little cars. Heck, maybe Alpine will come up with a bigger, more powerful sports car in a few years once the upcoming small coupe has found its audience. Maybe something that can battle with 911s. One can only dream.
