any advice on someone who's trying to get better with hand cannons?
i hardly ever use them but now that i have all 3 exotic handcannons id figure id give it a try
As someone who plays about 5-7 hours a day at minimum, it lasted me a month and a half. It's a good expansion. The main big "content" items included are the Raid, which is the best one since VoG, Archon's Forge which I think is incredibly fun, 8 or so story missions all of which are pretty good but not spectacular aside from the final Gjallarhorn mission, the Plaguelands patrol which is has a bit larger environments than other Patrols because they dropped last gen, 3 new strikes all of which are fantastic, 3 new crucible maps which is okay I guess, 1 new crucible mode, and a shitload of new gear to chase.
If you're a casual player? Nah, not really worth it. If you play a lot? Yes, it's worth it for sure.
>no space between the - and /dg/
You're not zippy
...
>beta cuck that can't handle the Alpha dick
So is Titan still the most useful PVE class in Rise of Iron? If i do end up deciding to buy Rise of Iron i'm probably going to just focus on one of my characters. Don't have as much time nowadays for 3 character grindan.
yeah
wait for them to remove ghost bullets
bait, or are you non-US?
You can do it for 335 gear and easy exotics
It was short and sweet but a little bare yes, led to many wonderful memes
Also this
>which is the best one since VoG
No shit? Better than King's Fall? What makes it so good?
Defender is still very useful, yes. It's not as necessary as it was in previous raids, but it's still always good to have a skilled Defender (i.e. one who knows when to select Blessing instead of Weapons) on the team.
kings fall was shit senpai
How long does WoM normal take?
>how and tdb cost 14 dollars each
>roi cost 30 and has about as much content as TDB
this is why you dont let devs and publishers get away with trying to make dlc for a game when 90% of the team is already working on the sequel
about an hour, maybe 1:30 tops
how and tdb cost $20
Does candlelight just drop from the key chests at the end of strikes? and is it just heroic or do normal strikes work as well?
I really liked it and the general consensus when it came out was that it was decent. Not as good as VoG but decent.
what world do you live in
even if it was only 10 bucks more, TTK was 10 bucks more than RoI and had so much more content
someone finally said something about it that clicked for me just last night.
It is very forgiving
In KF hard mode, if someone dies, it gets very hard/impossible to complete some encounters.
But in RotM, its very do-able for normies to 4-5 man most of the fights
Whether this "casualization" of the raid is a good thing or not is up to you
Only casualization going on around here is your spelling.
Wrath is spelled with a W.
>mfw finally killed Aksis
>in normal
This raid is beautiful, boys
yep, fat fingered that one
I don't know how to feel about this.
So shitters can just get away with slacking off now? As long as its still well designed and fun i guess.
King's Fall was great as a climactic, epic final raid for killing the biggest antagonist in the game, but it was a slog. Relic section, jumping puzzle, jumping puzzle, totems section, clear-adds-and-then-snipe-the-boss boss, maze, clear-adds-and-then-snipe-the-boss boss, jumping puzzle, jumping puzzle, miniboss, 10-12 minute boss that always takes 10-12 minutes.
It was a very long raid, and a very challenging raid for most people (not /dg/) and it stayed challenging long after it's release. WoTM strikes a good balance between difficulty and length. It's essentially 3 phases with minor jumping puzzles and hidden chests in between, which is something VoG did really well.
Everything I'm reading just says strikes.
45 minutes or its free
>two keys away
Fat fingered my ass
I live in the U S of fucking A and both DLCS have always been $20 since they came launched
>so much more content
I would hope so for $40 dollars
Whats so good about the last Gjallarhorn mission?
It drops from the chest, it doesn't matter which strike you pick or what difficulty.
How they throw everything and the kitchen sink at you while you defend ghost's dumb ass. It is intense and amazing.
It's probably the most fun raid. As in, the mechanics aren't just designed to be challenging, they're designed to be challenging AND fun.
KF only applies to the brand/relic/gaze holder . If he dies that's usually it
KF was 4 manned by literal who's here
I doubt it anyone here can 4 man WotM
YOUR LIGHT IS A DRAGON
YOU WILL NOT FALL
how is 40 dollar dlc having tons of content expected but 30 dollar dlc having nearly none acceptable
4 manning WoTM is pretty easy though.
The Iron Tomb is a great mission as well actually.
all ttk had more was more subclasses and quests
Have you 4 manned HM WotM? You have no ground to say it's easy to 4 man if you havnt done it yourself
more strikes, more armor and weapons, reworking the level system
they're so strapped for asset creation in RoI that the factions didnt even get separate sets this time
don't fire as fast as you can pull the trigger or you WILL find yourself missing shots that you shouldn't
of course this excludes tlw
No reason to say it wouldn't be easy. Easier than KF, even. Only issue would be juggling cannons/charges at Aksis but even that isn't too hard if your team is competent.
If you can 4 man KF, there's zero reason why you shouldn't be able to 4 man WotM.
Agreed. I like the soundtrack this time more than TTK.
I will take Crucible, laggy IB, and Inferno Trials over solo queue any day.
In Destiny, every game is bullshit, so you have consistency. You KNOW you can't trust a single thing in this fucking game.
But solo queue. Sometimes it gives you hope. Sometimes it steps on your balls with high heeled stilettos. You never know. You never fucking know.
Destiny has no hope. And that's what I love about Destiny.
You know tlw is full auto right?
>KF was 4 manned by literal who's here
wow, rude
3 man WotM when?
Me too, it's really reassuring that they're still composing good stuff without Marty. The heroic theme associated with the Iron Lords is great, I just wish we could have found out more about them like the grimoire cards for each of their artifacts. In those cards I like how they come off as a really close circle of friends, each with their own quirks and relationships.
Fuck off you self-obsessed faggot
>Close circle of friends
Are you sure? They sound more like a group of people who all want the same thing that work together almost begrudgingly while trying their hardest to understand and get used to each other.
Some of them are friends. But being a team and being friends with one another are two different things.
>3 man
2 much juggling and also have fun doing 6 waves at Vosik every fucking time
did you not read "this excludes tlw"???
It wouldn't always be 6 waves, if you're coordinated enough you can throw both bombs on your side without issue.
That's just the way it came off to me. Like in Skorri's card, her and Perun laugh together, or in Gheleon's card, the others tease him about how edgy he is. Or in Timur's card, I get a lot of pupil-master vibes with his relationship with Felwinter. They all have relationships with each other.
literally nothing else to do. Why not spice it up?
so i need to get good? got it. just need to find 2 more
You're in Alpha Team now just grab them
hahaha literal who mad
1. not everyone is as autistic as i am
2. alpha team is not my personal army. I cant just summon them from the skype chat whenever I feel like it
what would the ideal classes even be for a 3 man?
2 hunters and a titan. could probably trade a hunter for a lock.
But none of those are amicable relationships.
In Skorri's card she's heavily distrusted by newer members of the Iron Lords, and the senior ones disapprove with her not taking it as seriously as the rest of them by delegating her time to writing songs instead of training/meeting.
In Gheleon's card, they aren't teasing him, they're incredibly uncomfortable with his actions and are only in his literal cave because some shit's going down at the peak they don't want to deal with.
In Timur's card, he's trying to teach Felwinter things, but Felwinter was a Warlord and is already incredibly powerful, so he doesn't really want to learn what Timur has to teach him and is pushing back with force.
I find it baffling that you never noticed those things and thought it was just buddies bro-ing it out.
trading out a tether for a lock is a pretty big loss of damage, though i suppose you've got 5 shots on each boss for damage, so its not that big of a deal.
In my opinion as someone who played all raids day one, King's Fall was an excellent raid from an excellent expansion. It wasn't just tacked on like Vault of Glass was, it was the natural conclusion to the expansion. The missions in The Taken King got progressively harder and culminated in the Road to King's Fall quest, all with a good narrative to show that we're ready to take the hive god out.
And then we began the raid.
The raid start was pretty standard stuff, and very reminiscent of the Spire. It was after we got done with opening the portal that King's Fall really began to shine. Right off the bat we're met with an interesting jumping puzzle, and then it's followed by another massive one. It really gave you a sense of how massive the raid was going to be. WotM didn't give me this grandiose feeling.
King's Fall was all about the atmosphere. I won't disagree with how it's a very technical and unforgiving raid, but it had a difficulty and length that matched the tension the missions up to that point built up. One year later, I still think it's the most impressive raid. Wrath of the Machine didn't quite have the same buildup, and I personally blame that on how they only ever showed Aksis, the guy behind everything, twice (once in the prelude video, and at the raid itself).
Yeah, it should be more references to the Iron Lords in the game, like a cutscene when you attune an artifact.
Also more information about the Iron Wolves, who they were and all that.
Yeah, the way you wrote it implied you should pull the trigger as fast as possible
niggas i put this song in my pvp playlist. tell me what you think. youtube.com
>Russian Circles
DUDE POST-ROCK LMAO
Warlocks are just better at staying alive without tethers, even if you're a sunsinger.
>2/7 clash matches
>10/50 primary kills
>3/7 clash matches
>11/50 primary kills
Anyone up for doing WOTM normal?
>normal
does xbone have a blacklist?
is there any reason to play the game if all your characters and all your desired weapons are 400 light?
better roll on armor/weapons
other than that, no of course not
It's post-METAL! GOD, DAD!
Does anyone even do the raid anymore or start the outbreak quest?
yes and yes

Anyone started the outbreak quest in ps4?
Invite me brah

I LIKE jolders most of the time, and timur is fun on a warlock
tiers are a meme. 10-11 is fine
>10-11 is fine
blacklisted
2/3 for trials bounties and 5 wins
2/6 for WOTM normal
Join nerds if you're up for it
>10
if you're under 11, you're shit
I said the Iron Lords themselves, but you have good taste in artifacts
will you take a 280
pretty generic
I wouldn't mind but I know from personal experience most people here don't really like playing with low levels.
I don't even think wotm normal would take a 280
1v1 me faget. ill dust your ass no problem.
2/6 for wotm. it's normal mode, for whatever reason. so meme builds are encouraged
