see but otherwise, it kind of depends on what genres you like. if you're like randal you can get by only playing rhythm games and visual novels.

Regular (N)3DS is about the same size, XL is bigger but it's the same resolution, and the res is already small so that may not be a good thing for some people.

Best Buys is a seriously awful store.
They ruin box sets and collectors' editions with those security devices that clamp down and crush the box. I saw a copy of TMS Special Edition at a local Best Buy the other day and was legitimately upset about it.

any corpse party fans around? i'm thinking of playing the 3ds game but haven't played anything in the series. i have no idea which game is which. there are remakes and sequels and none of them are numbered so i don't know where to start. what order are the games in?

The 3DS one is a remake of the first one, it's mostly similar to the PSP version of the first.

The first game's mansion was a lot more interesting and atmospheric, but some of the DM mansions were neat. Getting teleported in and out was a pain in the ass sometimes and removed any feeling of isolation.
Other than the spider and the knights, the bosses weren't that good, but then again the bosses weren't very impressive in the first game, either. The new ghosts weren't as boring as I thought they would be, and the red ones in particular were pretty fun. I liked how they busied themselves with all sorts of activities, all the while never ceasing to be pissed off. But on the other hand, it was always disappointing when you got attacked by mummies and then it just turned out to be a green ghost on stilts.

Really disappointed at how money doesn't do anything after you unlock the best Poltergust, which should happen halfway through the game. There's that window in the vault that starts filling up with money, but it didn't seem to affect the ending in any way.

It got really cool at the end, though. I doubt King Boo will be used this well again.

Oh and FUCK escorting Toads, holy shit the second mission in the last mansion was frustrating.

At least the money actually has a purpose.
In the first game it was just to decide what jpg of a house you get shown at the end.

I rented it, played it for an hour or so, then later bought the game and haven't played it since buying it
