Well, that wasn't a mod, more like a scenario for a mod. The mod was pretty big desu, it completely changed the map, added provinces, modified values in provinces to make the Muslim world richer (as it should be, EU3 was shit outside of Europe), and made the Ottomans much stronger iirc. The extra scenarios were just add-ons.

It wasn't a simple mod at all desu, but probably the best mod out there, unless you liked the other shit like MEIOU.

D&T was the best mod.

I did this a week or two ago.
Combine the individual mods' folders into one.
Use the .mod file for CanOmer's map, rename it to match the combined mod folder.
Edit the domesticpanel.gfx, menubar.gfx, and temp_frontend.gfx files in the interface directory. They have some filepaths that need to match the name of the combined mod folder. Or you can just leave the two individual mod folders there.

Hell the millet system was a vassalage system. Paradox games dont truley show local government and vassal autonomy and in games where vassalage is huge its not even done historically (ck2)

Ck2 vassals shouldnt be a thing unless you have medium and up crown authority, and only family held lands at medium. The tributaries should be the vassals and the vassals should get events on liege passing if it wants to go outside of realm.

I also hate how you can establish empires without the popes consent as a chrsitian.

They don't love the Ottomans. It's just the Ottomans were indeed a threat for Europe at the timeframe of EU4. They didn't advance further because Poland, of all countries, didn't allow them.

If you're talking about the recent buff they got due to institutions: this was a side-effect of a new mechanic. The Amerindians also got buffed, Paradox still needs to tweak the mechanics. (They will do it.)

Since I came to the conclusion that Paradox is irreversibly jew'd, I decided to imagine about playing /gs/.

I am currently on a campaign as Albania. I started off by modernizing and secularizing the country, getting rid of corruption, improving infrastructure and education and performing some financial reforms.

I am slightly worried about Greece. They got a nationalist government up, and there have been some tensions in Southern Albania from the Greek minority. They might try to pull a "Crimea v2".
I have endorsed Assad in Syria and have sent over ý0 million $ worth of equipment and aid. This has damaged my relationship with USA, but this might change if Trump wins the elections.

I am also in the middle of a seemingly fair solution with Serbia about Kosovo. Albanian majority southern side joins us, Serbian majority northern side joins Serbia.
I am still not sure about my obligations to the Albanian minority in Republic of Macedonia.

So far I am trying to maintain a relative isolationist foreign policy and reasonable tax rates that allow economic growth. Our debt is over 60% of GDP, but with our stable growth and recent surplus, it shouldn't concern us too much.

It's just weird how strong their bonuses are compared to the tasks they have to accomplish, while countries with arguably harder challenges, like Russia get relatively mediocre stuff. I'm not saying Russia is hard to play, I'm saying that they are harder to play than Ottomans since they actually have formidable neighbours near them that can pose an existential threat at some point in time unless Russia plays their cards right. Sometimes Russia doesn't form at all, due to Denmark grabbing Novgorodian clay and it's ok, not every game needs to be the same.
Personally I'd prefer if they got Russian treatment - it's much more fun to play a nation that actually has some challenges ahead of it instead of getting everything for free.
Or they could keep the ridiculously strong bonuses, but start out with decent aggressive expansion by default, some revanchism in Serbia, fuckloads of revanchism in Byzantine and provinces that actually have rebels in them, Bulgarian and Byzantine ones namely. This would up the level of the challenge somewhat while keeping the feeling of overwhelming strength.

Idk I like it. I also have gs-inspired geopolitical fantasies. Everyone should have some creative outlet, you know? I like making alt-history maps and shit, and learning scripts for weird languages.

Dunno, I conquered Soviet Union and Germany as democratic Poland by clicking on borders, drawing huge sloppy arrows into the enemy borders and just pressing GO. It all comes down to making enough divisions and enough guns, this game is anything but hard.

That's because most enemies Russia/Muscovy needs to fight against are hordes; the most developed one they'll probably find [assuming no player intervention] is the Commonwealth, who's Eastern. If they're buffed, they blob into Scandinavia.

On the other hand, the Ottomans need to deal with the same Commonwealth... plus Austria [Western], Venice [Western], Spain [who likes to blob into the region due to Naples, also Western].

So. This is basically the result of railroad done wrong.

But yeah, I get they're too strong to be sane - I have the Ottomans as a vassal and they managed to somehow be more efficient than France fighting wars in Europe.
