Instead of Vengeance being something that activates at 10 HP it becomes a mechanic on cards where you can pay X life to boost the card.
Expand on the drain mechanic they have that is barely used to go along with it.

Forest could have gotten ZERO (0) cards this expansion, and it would still have been tier 1. The broken deck core of Fairy Circle, May, Guidance, Roach, Ancient Elf, and synergy with Altered Fate, will forever ensure a cancer tier 1 deck. Even if they fucking GUT Altered Fate, it would still be tier on the back of Roach alone, they'd just play Silver Bolt as a win con instead.

May and Ancient Elf offer so much early game control and survivability it's fucking mind boggling.

Control doesn't run Sages, Otohime sees play in a lot of lists. 1 drops and Sage are the main difference between the 2. If you run 1 drops and Sages, even if you have an Olivia finisher or an Alex tech, you're still midrange.
