Just get the regular edition. The only thing the deluxe edition really does that you can't get elsewhere is giving you access to Super Trunks (which he unlocks at the end anyways, you just get him from the get go instead).

Depends on how long you or they are going to play it. Bandai is notorious for never letting their Season Passes go on sale. Instead they let the bundle go on sale and keep the Season Pass at full price. It's why it took me so long to get the Season Pass in XV1. Bought XV1 by itself and the very next day the bundle went on sale.
