Overwatch is easily my GOTY and I absolutely fucking love the game in general. I also have a bunch of spare dosh (and less time to play) these days.

And I still don't get why you'd buy lootboxes when you can literally just earn them in game and buy whatever skins you want with coins (especially now event skins can be bought with coins).

I have 300 hours in the game and haven't spent a penny beyond the price of the base game.

I play as whoever is necessary for the team to have a decent composition, with some personal preferences. Which means I play as basically any character but mostly tanks and healers.

It certainly takes a lot of playing to get everything with just earned boxes, but to get everything you personally want? Not really.

I got Mercy's Witch skin, Ana's candy emote and a bunch of other stuff without paying. Most of the rest was shit I can live without like sprays.

Besides, if we're talking the base cosmetics and not the event ones, it totally is possible to get everything as long as you play enough. I have 35 - 40 items on every character.
