Do I need to create an emunand if I have no worries about my game saves or other content? I could easily redownload all the games I have and many of the saves for those games I don't care about. What I care about is actually being able to use the hacked 3DS with DSiWare to hack another one. I just worry if the system reformat will remove all the hacks/a9lh and prevent me from doing so.

Vesperia English Patch will not work with that 4.xx exploit for PS3. The patch uses a modified eboot and param.sfo and OFW PS3s are finicky about those.

As for if Vesperia works without the patch I don't know, you have to test it out.
