Sabotage is anything but pointless, it's just not going to be used the intended way. People are just going to 99%-prep every hook on the map and then fucking meme on you the moment you want to hook someone since it takes BARELY any time.

99% gens aren't going to be as effective anymore since killers can slap generators to start making their progress drop.
Also, difference being that 99%ing a generator takes like a minute and a half or so
99%ing a hook takes twelve seconds. Base, assuming no other addons or perks.

From what I can tell you don't actually hit the gen. You do an interaction and it'll start decreasing over time.
