EX said the Commandant Rifle and ammo spawned right in the National Guard Training Yard Armory but he hasn't said anything about whether my level list injector worked yet. Its supposed to inject the Service Rifle into level lists for Gunners, Raider Bosses, and Minutemen.

Went to Vault 95 and began killin' Gunners. One of them had the service rifle, so I'd say that meant your thingy worked.

I think since I'm level 190+ most of them had energy weapons. Thats sort of why I'm usually not the best tester for such mods, but it showed up at least.

Even with mods there is a serious lack of options for settlements as well. I have to collect things just to make shit look good.

I just want a mod that builds Sanctuary for me. I want everything to be pretty. Functional and cool, like a place I'd come to and want to explore. Without bushes in the fucking way of my wall. I can't even build a fucking wall around it because of how awful this game is.

Note that there was a mod that did this exact story in, what, FNV? Literally the exact story, vault where the inhabitants were robots and it was a murder mystery. Don't know if it had the same ending, but it was a pretty big issue and I recall people even trying to excuse the blatant stealing without permissions as, "Well, you made a mod, so it's therefore all Bethesda's property lol."

Except even the guy who made the mod said that Bethesda didn't steal it from him, but it wasn't even originally his idea, its a pretty fuck old story, and commonly used through film, tv, books.

Saying Bethesda stole the mod is like saying Rage tried to steal Fallouts setting because it was post paocolyptic

True, the story itself isn't all too creative and it would be wrong to say the mod inventor created the story, it's just the similarities in design are so damn close. The non-story parts (sex with a robot, discussing art with a robot, the person who was killed having the same role and backstory) and the story parts (importance of voice modulation, the robotic's expert importance to the story) are just very similar.

Even if the mod author felt differently, it's not like he can really accuse Bethesda of stealing anyways.

Really the telling part of Bethesda stealing it is that the Vault in Fart Harder is set up exactly the same way as the place in the NV mod, down to the tables and chairs. If it weren't for that I wouldn't even care about the similarities between the story and characters.

It's in the rgb channels, it's hard to explain but do you have the nvidia unpacking tools?
The simplest thing I can tell you to get started would be to use the tool on a similar texture and look at it. See how certain materials are certain colors and then then do all editing using a black brush, white brush, or masks to get a similar effect on your textures. 9 times out of 10 you'll just completely black out the blue channel.
Also iirc you'll either want to export with 3dc compression, or use the repacking tools from the file as a tga by either dragging the file into the program or using command line.
