Somewhat of this mindset, I think. Not literally, but some of them only picked up drawfagging because of /utg/, or this is their first general to draw for.
I've said multiple times that this is honestly the best place to draw for and I really mean it ("this" refers to Veeky Forums in general, not just this one). The level of bitching that anons do is nothing compared to the kind of shit I've seen on other boards. The anime ones are particularly nasty because they're not grateful in the slightest yet they're constantly asking for art.

Plus if you've noticed, a lot of the contentfags bring it on themselves in some way or another. Jelly did the RPing, CB did a lot of blogposting, Angstrom back then couldn't shit on others without people knowing it was him.
The reason we hail Pumpkin so much is because she doesn't do any of that, at least not in a way that makes her identifiable. Other drawfags that I've talked to outside of here are vapid shitposters but they keep it separate from their art posts, hell myself included honestly.

I guess it's one of the things that comes with creating an identify on an anonymous board?

This is basically it. Once you have a specific identity to focus on, it's a lot easier to complain about any posting you don't like, versus the countless nameless anons who shit up the thread far worse and don't provide shit.

Contentfags get targeted because they make an identity for themselves basically no matter what they do, Pumpkin is a very rare example otherwise as she either doesn't post outside of her art or is very good at blending in with the sea of shitposters.

MSPG's the type that you have to stop talking about in order to get him to leave. Remember that the first thing he does upon entering a thread is CTRL+F his name so he knows how many times to stroke it that night.

You're probably not here anymore but thanks! I don't think it's my best work or anything but it's the result of drawing something with a mouse once in a while for a few months.

I tried drawing with a pen on paper a few days ago. It was terrible. I drew like two lines and I instantly realized I can't just go back like on the computer. I realized that I don't really plan out my lines at all and how much I'm just cheating. It's easy to just bash my head against the wall until it looks like something while deleting every line that doesn't please me. Obviously it's not perfect but it can make me look better than I am.
