Top priorities are Point Dagger, Pots, Seeds and Rupees. If you're able to, try to get the Fire Katana (If Fire), the Water Axe (If Water), The Wind Spear(If Wind) or the Earth Fist (If Earth). Getting the Championship Merits are also a good choice as you'll need a lot of those as you continue to rank up.

GBF has not much to whale tbqh. Also there's the 300-roll system. Once whales got their 100 moon weapons and some nonchara weapons, they just roll whenever new characters are released and that's it for them.
