There's 2 options here, the quest is maximum 2 hours long, or they will delay again saying "it would take too long to play the entire quest"

I replayed the second dream and it took 30 minutes

Unless the fill it with too many unnecessary wait times which they will the game will spike in players for two hours, then it will be slightly higher than before as people grind out the weapons mastery.
There is absolutely nothing in this update to keep new players.

Fucking this tbqh. I remembered it very differently. I actually had fond memories before I replayed it. The longest part of the entire quest was the fucking orbiter part. It's going to be so disappointing.

seems that each segment is just a cube, rather than projecting the shadow on an invisible wall in front of the foundry, it'd be better to sperg the fuck out of existence

It's the fact that there's a light over the foundry, and every segment in the ship, and the game handle more than one shadow. If you had a white floor, you'd see it switch behind you. It's also why if you have a weapon modded for fire with Elemental Effects on, your shadow spazzes out like shit.
