look at play some overthrow (custom game), it's pretty good for getting used to hero mechanics and figuring out how things interact with each other. lets you learn that without playing full matches

you will be shit at first. no moba comes close to dota complexity. don't worry, everyone has to start somewhere, just don't expect to depend on your previous moba knowledge.

warlock you can go anywhere in pubs, but preferably support or mid

veno is similar

jugger is core, you can go mid if you want and in low tier pubs offlane

witch is 100% support

if you are just beginning, the difference between hard and farming support really doesn't matter

warlock can be mid and support/hard support
jugg is mid/carry
veno can be anything really
witch doctor is support/hard support
the other anons are right, play some 10v10 dota from the arcade to learn how heroes spells and items act, its more light hearted and casual version of normal dota which makes it perfect for learning about heroes
