Won't happen. The only way for it to be a first class citizen is for SP to start using it. Otherwise it will always be an afterthought. He can't even test it and will just rely on random people to do it like he always has, which is partly why RA has so many issues. He makes a change, doesn't notice the problem caused on his end and only does when users find out.

How do I access the eshop on 9.0-9.2?

I'm trying to update Animal Crossing: New Leaf so if I don't need the eshop to do that then updating it without the eshop would be fine as well

What you should be asking is why these changes almost never cause a regression on either OSX or LInux but they always do on your special snowflake toy OS, Windows.

it's pretty much how i play games these days. if it works in a browser that means i can play causally. i was pretty stoked when ra came to the browser. unfortunately, i had to have roms. i'll use the archive's game player till they fix that.

I know emugen often complains about how people want guis for things because command line is simpler.

I had the experience of trying to use a command line program today. Here is a comparison of GUI vs command line. The goal was to extract attached fonts from an mkv file.

Command line: dl prog, extract to dir, move mkv to the same dir as the prog, rename mkv to something easy to type "fe.mkv," open cmdline from that dir, type "mkvextract help," help is unrecognized command, go to website documentation, scroll through 5 pages, find that i need to type mkvextract attachments (source-filename) [options] (AID1:outname1) for 5 different fonts, but i don't know the ID or the internal name of the fonts, find out i have to go use mkvidentify to find out each name and then remember them long enough to type them in to mkvextract because Windows command line doesn't allow you to just highlight and ctrl-c because its command line is built for the 18th century. Give up.

GUI: dl prog, extract to dir, open prog, drag file to prog, check the fonts and hit extract, it extracts them.

Don't let anyone tell you a command line emulator is worth using.
