sheep are nice creatures so I don't see how that's a bad thing
Adam Jenkins
so do any of you actually care about sim games beyond shitposting in this thread anymore
I kinda want to try to actually git gud at air combat and it'd be nice to have somebody to fly 1v1 against, and then maybe a group for 2v2 stuff.
Kayden Gutierrez
>Gimp >not Krita
Landon Ortiz
i want to try it but never got around to installing it
Sebastian Ross
>1v1 >2v2 >esport
I don't think this is what a simulator is for.
Caleb Torres
jesus fucking christ this general has gone to shit. in air combat training, you fly 1v1 to learn the maneuvering portion of air combat, how to defeat an opponent through superior placement of your aircraft and management of your own energy. you fly 2v2 afterward to learn how to win a fight with tactics, how to fight alongside a wingman and how to outsmart your enemy instead of outfly them.
it has nothing to do with esports you chode.
John Jenkins
thoughts?
Dominic Walker
The grain on the plane clashes hard with the clean look on the chicken scratch and the ring.
Otherwise, good.
Isaiah Cook
get back to 104th you fucking esport shitter
Joseph Davis
You can see the aliasing in the ring.
Jose Ortiz
How would I go about making the background look rougher. I will try to see if I can make that better
Liam Cox
Ring is a bit fucked and the plane doesn't mix well with the background.
Charles Long
>How would I go about making the background look rougher. Just add a grain filter to the ring and the chinese letter.

>ring still has jaggies out the ass stop GIMPing yourself already.
Ayden Foster
Everything is very nice but the ring is still a bit messy or i could be just nitpicking here.
Brody Garcia
Grain is fine now, now fix the aliasing on the ring.
Ian Turner
i will, tomorrow.
going to look up how to fix the ring
Asher Miller
In Farming Sim 17, do you get achievements/trophies while doing online coop? I'm interested in the game but mostly if it means my friends and I can trophy hunt together while running our farm.
Oliver Lee
Why are delta wings so A E S T H E T I C C C?
Juan Bailey
so does anyone who isn't a shitposting fag want to help me into air combat
Grayson Moore
Depends what you want to fly
Brandon Long
Are there any good freeware management simulators?
Nolan Young
F-5, MiG-21, pretty much anything really. I don't even have the fundamentals of air combat down, so anything I learn should be able to be taken to other aircraft. I'd just prefer to fly something with missiles, pure guns combat is a bit too easy to win with good defensive flying I find.
Cameron Jones
The F-5 and the MiG are rather good aircraft to start with, but these aren't going to teach you how to BVR at all. But like you said your going to want to be able to bring what you learn to other shit.
Daniel Bell
How the hell do you even learn BVR? I have no clue how to reliably defeat an AMRAAM other than notching and hoping for the best, or going down and dirty in the weeds to try and break lock with terrain/cause the missile to strike a hill or something.

Alot of my experience came from trail and error and then reading some PDFs for some insight and with that you start to build a map you could say when facing different weapon systems.
Mason Walker
Do you have any of those .pdfs? Or just a way I can pick your brain or some shit?
I've been avoiding air to air because it scares the shit out of me but goddammit I want to learn how to fighters
Looks like I've got reading material at work for a few weeks now.
Would you recommend practicing against the AI at all? When I was flying the prop fighters, I found they were super predictable, which made it really easy to learn the counters to the few maneuvers they'd make and then take them down within a couple of turns. Not sure how that'll hold up in a world with missiles, though- the AI seems much more geared towards fighting in high performance jets (considering the principal defensive move for them seems to be a straight vertical climb)
Gavin Peterson
I am not the same person but thank you for sharing
Bentley Parker
DCS Prop plane AI are really shit when it comes to dogfighting but they are used to be in jets going alot more faster than 300mph. But AI is only going to get you so far in learning how to kill stuff and once you get there you will good for your first few fights vs a human.

I just want to get to baseline competency, I just want to be good enough that I can, from an equal footing in a 1v1 engagement, kill a completely untrained pilot without much hassle.
>tfw no /simg/ redflag to learn how to fight
Jacob Jones
You could go against me and work on from there
Tyler Phillips
That mite b cool. I'll need to dust the cobwebs off my stick first, though
