Depending on your profession have you considered eastern Colorado or Montana?
Statewide CO may have garbage tier politics but luckily it seems decentralized enough that local ones aren't that terrible. Roads aren't as close to big towns but absolutely top notch.
As for Montana - absolutely based road regs, the federal govt had to threaten them to stop their "safe and prudent" lack of speed limit. Decent government but shit job prospects just like east CO unless you are specialized or can telework.
I've considered both actually and the only real thing that I don't like is the snow, it may not be a big deal but I'm from Florida after all. Work is no problem as long as I can get decent internet.
