Good but in all honesty Akuma is poorly ported into Tekken. He sticks out way too much as a street fighter when he should have been a Tekken character that plays like a Tekken character with some novelty nodges to his sf self.

You just need to practice until you "get it."

Keep charging something constantly. As soon as you finish one input, start recharging. Remember that down-back charges both up and forward moves. If you do a crouching move, that's where it should be charging.

you should delay the divekick near the apex of the dp so that the opponent is above you by a fair bit, which means you hit the ground and start recovering first and early. then the 2a pickup is easier.
the buffer is also really generous, so you can press 2a way earlier than you think.
