Not really, I play mine a lot and the majority of my damage usually comes from raw shell damage in a mix of HE and AP, with fires just making up a minority, unless I get really good RNG.
Not sure how useful it actually will end up being but I'll probably try it out.

Belfast is like Flint, but with the tools to 100% cancel out DDs. I can't tell if they were trying to provide a paid alternative to people who don't want to rank out 3 times, or just shortsighted. It suffers in losing torps, but you can play around that and most are too dumb to charge your smoke anyway. The AA difference is meaningless in this meta. After 50+ games in it, its greatest weakness is that it decelerates and reverses slowly. It doesn't get the special Brit AP either, but the krupp values are absurd and it can easily do 5k+ per salvo on broadsiding battleships at under 10km. It was advertised as a DD killer, but it can absolutely melt BBs too. It's frail, but just don't expose your broadside or go visible unless you're smoking up/have cover/don't feel like you'll get shot back at. Played right, it can lock down a flank almost singlehandedly. Smoke near island cover and about 10km away from enemies and nothing can touch you. And don't go hunting after DDs unless they come too close or are un-escorted.

Bottom line is, I don't consider myself a cruiser player. I have zero interest in playing the RN CL line. Belfast is one of the most fun ships I've played. If you have any experience enjoying the sneaky smokey firesetting playstyle of gunbote DDs, get it. If I had to give it a motto, it's "never a fair fight". Stick to that and it's free wins. It would not surprise me if it never goes on sale again.

The fact that it is overmatched by CAs is it's biggest weakness in my view. That's what really enforces the 'no fair fights' playstyle.

regular crates can give ship slots too
otherwise you just have to buy them, they go on sale every now and then

The port slot drop rate from crates doesn't seem all that low either. Pick anything besides try your luck, since you only get 1 shot there instead of 3, and keep spamming if you really need space. I don't think I'll ever have to pay for it again.

Will keep that in mind.
My main issue currently is that somehow on a regular basis all my shots are too high or too low, leaving a gap in my salvo for the enemy ship
