I'm not. I have fun with BLM, but something's not clicking with me in regards to it. My DPS is literal shit.. at ilvl 249 with the 260 weapon, I can't even clear the A11S dummy, which I can clear with ease on MNK. Admittedly, my MNK is a higher ilvl, but my weapon's 255.. idk.

You bring in 4 mains and 4 alts and go through the raid twice, so the group as a whole gets more chances of loot per week.

They don't "need" gear on their alts.
All the gear they get goes towards their main characters. They do 2 separate raids, the first with 4 main characters and 4 alt characters, and then a 2nd one but this time reversed, so the 4 that were on alts before now run it on their mains, the the 4 who were on mains now run it as alts.
This way they get double the gear for their main characters.
