I didn't care much about it, but then I remembered that getting any more armor sets will have to wait till next expansion according to Anet.

I also remembered that this expansion released with only 3 sets for each weight, which is not a good precedent.

Exotics should be salvaged, if they dont have a good skin (check tp, i think ~1,5g is a good limit. but not sure anymore) or it has a good rune in it. IF it has one, salvage it with a black lion kit. sell the rune after that.

When you dont have enough tomes, or not the level 20/30/40 scrolls, does that mean that this is your first char?
If yes, join a guild (not any guild gw2g mentioned) play the maps and enjoy gw2 in a "normal" way first. If you are already sick of leveling, gw2 wont make you happy later in the game.

i quit playing around the time gw2 went f2p and they released that jew expansion with the tree hugging and flying focus
i had pretty much done everything from pvp to getting an eternity just because so my question is
is there enough content or is the game fun enough now to warrant buying the expansion for 50% off?

depends on your taste.
Just for the story? No.
But the maps, music, and elite specs are great.
gliding is fun.
Raids are okayish.

The whole "unlocking" mastery system is troubling for many, myself included. But after a few hours you have a few basics unlocked and you can almost explore the maps all over again. Also you already have eternity, so this kind of "grinding" should be a piece of cake for you.

Bonus points for LSS3, which is good so far. And i would recommend you buying the first episode, if you enjoyed HoT.

both gw2g guilds are almost fully upgraded and have vets that can help newbies and play with when they reach endgame, they're actually good. ill take them over normies, frankly speaking.

no, that doesnt make sense. ive been in all sorts of guilds, from megaguilds to more niche ones for dry top farming, and there really is a difference in the people, not everyone here probably subscribes to Veeky Forums culture, but many here like and follow it. its more than just shitposting, but good, open discussion and a lack of being offended. the gw2g guilds are fine.

normie guilds are worse, they're less than what we have if you want what ive been describing. i would only recommend joining other guilds on top of gw2gs if you raid a lot. this is about as objective a review you can get thats not shitposting like the comments im replying to.
