What are the active PvP areas/levels these days?

Frenzy, or How I Learned To Let Go Of Perception by Some Dead Hunter My corpse Frenzied as well.
Christian Robinson
good answer thanks
I HATE IT ANYWAY
Luke White
You have shit frenzy resist. Drop some insight and change to better clothes.
Leo Wilson
Copy onto a USB or upload to throwaway Twitter
Lucas Bell
clothes won't meaningfully help, runes and insight is all that matters
Benjamin Bailey
I'm afraid I just can't do that. I had even more Insight until I spent some on chunks.
Brayden Sanders
You're late
Thomas Stewart
I was in coop at the time, I'm sorry.
POST WHEEL
Brandon Murphy
>58 insight >choir garb well of course your frenzy resist is trash
Blake Wright
wait... if you have a ot of insight your frenzy hits harder ? I got 180 hours into the game and I'm still learning
Nathan Diaz
yup higher insight also slightly increases item discovery
Tyler Williams
More Insight means lower Frenzy resistance, it doesn't influence the damage Frenzy does though. It's always 70% of your max HP. Prolonged exposure to anything that induces Frenzy also causes rapid, continuous HP drain that stops when you break line of sight.
Daniel Wilson
Having insight lowers your fenzy resist so that you frenzy faster, and also lowers your beasthood so that you can't get benefits as large from BBP and shit.
You notice how whenever you drop some insight in the shop, your frenzy and beasthood meters pop up on screen? That's because it's making the bars larger and dropping whatever your old minimum was to the new minimum.
Samuel Rivera

Christian Diaz
>tfw you forgot living strings on the first game so you gotta do an 8th playthrough to get the fucking plat
John Thomas
Beak Mask and Djura gear have pretty good frenzy resistance, it's quite noticeable
Kevin Lee
So I made Ludwigs Holy Blade. What about it is actually good? My Saw Cleaver seems to out do it in like every way.
Asher Ward
better stagger better crowd control better range on-demand thrust attacks better damage when upgraded
Brody Baker
Anyone farming for gems or need co-op?
Im bored as hell and dont know whether to work on my ARC or BLT build.
Levi Stewart
>better range Saw Cleaver and Spear have better range. It's invisible, but it's there.
Liam Flores
I'm home! At long last.
Jason Walker
Enter the Gungeon is fun.
William Perry
I'm grinding out physical radials in swjteujh right now, if you want to join for that.
Brayden Wright
Wanna join me for the nightmare frontier?
Kayden Martin
>physical radials >grind
Lucas Cox
Yeah, I need cold abyssals
Password?
Zachary White
Tribute or ripoff?
Bentley Jenkins
Frenzy is a terrible mechanic made worse by the fact that Sedatives don't work like they should by preventing Frenzy buildup for a short duration and the fact that it continues to build up even after breaking line of sight or killing the goddamn enemy.
Jackson Sullivan
Tribute.
The game is full of shit like this
>STARS Beret with a "Master of Unlocking Joke" >Judge Dredd's Gun >NES Zapper that shoots light beams and homing pizel ducks >Han Solo's Blaster
I'm sure there's more. I'm hoping they snuck Scarborough Fair from Bayonetta in.
Easton Jackson
LHB really only has an advantage against medium-large enemies, which it can stagger in one hit. Brick trolls, church servants, etc.
Cleaver is better DPS vs. very large enemies (Cleric Beast and the like), not to mention is more flexible in attack timings. Some gaps in an enemy attacking that are too small for LHB to get a hit in, are small enough for a cleaver to get a hit in.
Vs. medium to small enemies (basic yharnamites, dogs, etc.) Cleaver is also better if you're gud because its speed lets it control groups a lot more easily.
With LHB, you have to be careful with how you swing at groups of enemies. It's really easy to swing at a group, miss one of them, and then eat shit because the LHB is too slow for you to do another R1 or dodge away before you get hit.
Cleaver, meanwhile, allows you to swap between targets really easily, and its L1 is a fast, on-demand area swing that can chain into a tricked R2 for more area coverage when you need it. LHB L1 attacks suck, so you don't have that same ability to easily switch between fast attacks and area attacks that make Saws so amazing for crowd control.
Jason Parker
Yes, I'd say killing the same boss over and over to get gems constitutes a grind.
No, not cold abyssals. These are temperings. If you're still on board, the pass will be bbgfat.
Jason Jones
Shit, I even found a Shotgun that was a clear reference to the movie "Looper"
Isaiah Johnson
Tricked LHB also just has such a fucking stubby swing animation. Your character holds the blade so close to their body. It really doesn't have as much range as you'd expect it to have by looking at it.
The L2s actually have pretty good range, though.
Matthew Stewart
Watchers are barely a boss and Temperings are their primary drop. It should literally take you like half an hour if even to get a set of good Temperings.
Nathan Carter
I might need a few temperings.
Anyways when I think of that glyph I think of abyssals.
Ill be coming asap
Robert Scott
Not him but I'll join. Want me ringing at the lamp?
Jace Moore
Saw Cleaver / Spear are insane weapons and can carry you through the entire game easily.
The main thing Ludwig has over them is the stagger. The 2H will stagger many larger enemies in one hit, while weapons like Bloodletter need two hits to stagger.
Also of course Ludwig is capable of reaching absurd damage per hit. So if you are playing extra cautious and only can afford to get 1 hit in before dashing out again, Ludwig can win in that regard too.
But as you can probably see in many speed runs, Cleaver/Spear are more than enough to mow down everything in PvE eaisly.
Aiden Diaz
This was really noticeable for me coming back to BB from DaS3, where I primarily used UGS. The tricked range is nowhere near what I felt it should be.
Elijah Lopez
Hmm yeah I'm liking Cleaver a lot more now.
Dude your Saw Cleaver looks so fucking cool. That is the Saw Cleaver right? Is that if you upgrade it fully?
Luis Thompson
Actually, change of plan. Now's not a great time. Sorry lad
Kevin Johnson
Saw Spear.
Henry Ross
anyone for ng+ shadows of 'nam?
Noah Myers
That's the saw spear, you can get it in Central Yharnam by chopping a corpse down from some rafters. It's similar to the saw cleaver, but has a different transformed moveset, and scales more with Skill than Strength.
Camden Brooks
Anybody got any advice on NG++ Micolash? He never gave me much trouble in NG and NG+, but I simply can't take a hit anymore. Auger takes 90% of my health and once he decides to call 1-800-BEYOND I'm finished. I'm completely forgotten how to avoid that attack. Not even the Loch Shield seems to help
Colton Cooper
Just because it's an easy farm doesn't mean it isn't a farm. Besides, there's always the possibility one gets terribly unlucky and gets nothing but attack down and HP depletes- like what I've been getting.
Beckoning now, then. See you soon.
Carson Johnson
Im up for it
Password?
Daniel Clark
Oh cool, is the Cleaver better or the Spear, I love the designs of both weapons
John Gray
They're both insanely good, but the Saw Spear is Skill-leaning and, unlike the Cleaver, is serrated in both untricked and tricked forms, so it's a bit better.
Justin Price
Actually nvm I will stick with the Saw Cleaver
Xavier Murphy
bbg
ringing in the stairs thanks
Ill do rom right after if you want
Brody Myers
>call 1-800-BEYOND Kek, I'm stealing this.
Anyways, got any Arc investment? I found him a bit easier with Beast Roar on hand. You can also stun him with a gun if he casts ACB, and cancel it.
Logan Clark
Get in his face and stay there, and always be ready to interrupt his spells rather than exhausting your stamina bar. ACB can't hurt you if he can't cast it.
Caleb Barnes
I blanked out thinking you were someone else, ill be heading to burgertown now.
Lincoln Edwards
hahahh didnt want to hold you up but it was you
Blake Parker
I've heard the Spear is more versatile, it's got the quick attack speed like the Cleaver untransformed, and better range transformed with a wider sweep and transformed R2 deals thrusting damage. They're both fantastic but there's pretty much no situation the Spear won't excel
Henry Hall
I think the spear has a slight edge, but it's not clear-cut. There are plenty of people here who will say the cleaver is better, I'm sure.
In any case, they're two of the strongest weapons in the game, for both PvE and PvP.
Stay close to him and play passive. When he goes for augur, you should be able to dodge on reaction so long as you aren't already in the middle of doing something, which is why you play passive. Problem: he will punch you, and that's hard to avoid on reaction. Fortunately, his fists don't do too much damage. If he's punching you a lot, just back up a bit, but not too far. There's a certain range where he likes to cast Augur. If you're getting low on health, only use a vial after dodging Augur. As long as you don't get too far away, he shouldn't use ACB, but if he does, immediately shoot or attack him. If you're close enough and can react quickly, you should interrupt him. This, btw, is why you stay close always. He'll spam ACB if you're far away, so DO NOT run away to heal.
Just stick inside Augur range, don't get punched too much (a little is fine) and only attack or heal after dodging an Augur.
Josiah Hill

Benjamin Edwards
Shit, something came up man, sorry but I cant join now.
Have fun grinding though.

How good is the Ludwig Rifle with the Saw Cleaver? Oh yeah also I fortified my Saw Cleaver to +6, now I need Chunks and don't know where to get those yet. Gonna fortify Saw Spear soon too.
Ryder Ward
Thanks for the run m8 have a meme
Isaiah Perez
No prob, it was fun
Brody Garcia
ludwig's rifle is just a longer range blunderbuss
you can find chunks in Cainhurst castle, post-Rom yahargul, and mensis
Bentley Evans
If we were to make pseudo School of Mensis and Choir covenants, could we use the Vileblood and Executioner oaths in practice?
Robert Barnes
Woohoo! Finally beat Vicar Amelia! It was really easy after fortifying my Saw Cleaver to +6. Shame I couldn't keep the streak of not dying to bosses.
Landon Diaz
Ludwig's Rifle is pretty bad.
Lucas Nguyen
What would their benefits be? Oath runes don't seem to do much in that regard. Choir rune gives a small boost to Arcane damage maybe? What would Mensis rune give?
Christian Hernandez
Awooo gesture
Aaron Lewis
Moonman, if you could be part of my plat it'd be real cool, Just opened a Great Pthu Lyll chalice don't know if you can join on a whim
