A while back there was a thread, about this same topic but instead of the Vanduul it was the UEE. There is a problem with this, most of the law and order Orgs would side with the UEE and so you would never get a consensus of players. Where as the Vanduul are enemies to all humans. So both lawful and pirate aligned clans could get behind the idea of attacking the Vanduul, much easier to build a consensus against a common enemy The interesting part is we may be able to convince CIG to let us keep them human controlled at the end of the beta.
Other reasons to do it, there are a lot of the player base that would like to own and fly a Scythe, but lore prevents that and they are un-insurable. So even if you capture one, you wouldn't fly it in harms way.....But if we write our own lore take some Vanduul worlds via the new planet side FPS mechanic and capture some factories we can change all that
Full disclosure. I am privileged to own a scythe, it bothers me some that other folks don't have the opportunity. This a way to change that and it just sounds too damn fun...

As magnificent as they are, the cockpit windscreens are perhaps somewhat 20th century - subject to physical breakage, prone to seal ruptures, venting gasses outside, and night blindness to the cockpit occupants witnessing extremely bright explosions in the dark of space. Would not real time display screens be the better alternative for the pilot and crew flying in 2900 and beyond , incorporating the same field of view out the front and sides, and with supplemental camera views above , below and behind the craft ? The vessel could then be piloted from deep within the ship using cameras many more times sensitive to heat signatures, movement capture and image magnification . CIG is not only reducing top SCM speed significantly, they are also increasing the already absurdly high acceleration rates in ships. As per the ATV segment video.
This has terrible consequences for gameplay and does not bode well for the future of the game.
Consider: - The flight model is physics accurate. CIG is plugging in the values which that flight model uses. - Currently fighters take 1~2 seconds to translate their vectors at SCM speed. That means 1-2 seconds for the ship to stop flying in its original vector and be flying in the vector the nose is pointing at. - CIG is now reducing top speed big time (as per video, by half) and increasing acceleration rate. This has the following effects:
1- Higher acceleration rates mean faster vector translation time in coupled SCM. As per the ATV video, the ship is translating its vector in LESS than ONE SECOND. Its almost instant. 2- Lowered top speed (halved per ATV video) with said higher acceleration means ships will reach their top speeds even faster.. if a fighter currently takes 5 seconds to go from zero to max SCM under 100% throttle then it will now take less than half of that (halved top speed plus better acceleration) so you're looking at 2 seconds or less time to reach max SCM. 3- Boost/Afterburner is not being changed (no mention of) other than it will consume less fuel so it can be used for longer periods of time.
The end result of all this is a gameplay that shifts from the current 'mostly aiming, little flying' to '100% aiming' combat because there is zero flying skills required given the ship is at top speed in 2 seconds or less and its flying so slow you'd have to be trying to crash into something in order to crash into something.

Description
The huge brick edifice was designed in the Italian Gothic style, and completed in the 1430s. It is the principal Dominican church of Venice, and as such was built to hold large congregations. It is dedicated to John and Paul, not the Biblical Apostles of the same names, but two obscure martyrs of the Early Christian church in Rome, whose names were recorded in the 3rd century but whose legend is of a later date.
In 1246, Doge Jacopo Tiepolo donated some swampland to the Dominicans after dreaming of a flock of white doves flying over it. The first church was demolished in 1333, when the current church was begun. It was not completed until 1430.
The vast interior contains many funerary monuments and paintings, as well as the Madonna della Pace, a miraculous Byzantine statue situated in its own chapel in the south aisle, and a foot of Saint Catherine of Siena, the church's chief relic.
San Giovanni e Paolo is a parish church of the Vicariate of San Marco-Castello. Other churches of the parish are San Lazzaro dei Mendicanti, the Ospedaletto and the Beata Vergine Addolorata.
The Renaissance Equestrian Statue of Bartolomeo Colleoni (1483), by Andrea del Verrocchio, is located next to the church.

The Mediterranean Lingua Franca or Sabir was a pidgin language used as a lingua franca in the Mediterranean Basin from the 11th to the 19th century.[2]

History
Lingua franca means "language of the Franks" in Late Latin, and originally referred specifically to the language that was used around the eastern Mediterranean Sea as the main language of commerce.[3] However, the terms "Franks" and "Frankish" were actually applied to all Western Europeans during the late Byzantine Period.[4][5] Later, lingua franca came to mean any contact language. Its other name in the Mediterranean area was Sabir, deriving from a Romance base meaning "to know".
Based mostly on Northern Italian languages and Occitano-Romance languages in the eastern Mediterranean area at first, it later came to have more Spanish and Portuguese elements, especially on the Barbary coast (today referred to as the Maghreb). Sabir also borrowed from Berber, Turkish, French, Greek and Arabic. This mixed language was used widely for commerce and diplomacy and was also current among slaves of the bagnio, Barbary pirates and European renegades in pre-colonial Algiers. Historically the first to use it were the Genoese and Venetian trading colonies in the eastern Mediterranean after the year 1000.

Labov lists a typology, according to which certain phenomena are typically or exclusively regular (example, vowel quality changes), while others (example, metathesis, or vowel shortening) tend to follow a lexical diffusion pattern.

Martha's Vineyard (Wampanoag: Noepe) is an island located south of Cape Cod in Massachusetts, known for being an affluent summer colony. It includes the smaller Chappaquiddick Island, which is usually connected to the larger island, though storms and hurricanes have been known to separate the two islands. The last such separation of the islands was in 2007, and as of April 2, 2015, the two islands are again connected.[1][2]
Often called just "The Vineyard",[3] the island has a land area of 100 square miles (260 km2). It is the 58th largest island in the United States and the third largest on the East Coast of the United States, after Long Island and Mount Desert Island.
The island constitutes the bulk of Dukes County, Massachusetts. The county also includes the Elizabeth Islands as well as the island of Nomans Land.
The Vineyard was home to one of the earliest known deaf communities in the United States; consequently, a special sign language, Martha's Vineyard Sign Language (MVSL), developed on the island.[4]
The 2010 census reported a year-round population of 16,535 residents,[5] although the summer population can swell to more than 100,000 people. About 56% of the Vineyard's 14,621 homes are seasonally occupied.[6]
