A clean, grey 6th gen hatch with tinted windows, good wheels, and an engine swap is my dream project car. For now I've got a decent EJ8 I'm pouring money into. Overall good but the stock interior and seats are not very comfy.

I owned a 2011 civic coupe. I loved the way it handled. Nimble and receptive steering.
I just couldn't get over how weak it was. Had to keep pushing it to 5-6,000 rpm to get the fucking thing to move on the highway.
Traded it in for a Mustang and haven't looked back since.

even my si was decently slow when I first got it - i cant imagine how slow a coupe with an r18 probably is. If you like wrenching, Once you build the motor or slap a supercharger on a k series, they are lights out fast and cause major assrustle.

I helped a friend do a b series conversion on an eg civic, at first I was humoring him but when we were done and he actually drove it I got jealous

Get an em2 then. Though it only has rear wishbone and a lot of early d17a2s are trashed but d17a1/2 swaping for vtec isn't hard and no one steals the lx. People steal the badges on ex though. Im . Also change the cam if you plan to drive hard, layout and material used in shaft make the early stock ones pretty fragile if you plan to redline anytime.
