After fighting with the DMV to allow us to paint our plates we finally got approval! They used to be Blue and White from the 70's. We're now in the process in restoring the thing

The engine is now pulled and we are in the process of stripping it for paint

k.. keep me posted

Who is we, are you a consortium of Veeky Forums posters?

Here's the collection of far

Just a collector of cars. Haven't been here in a while

The 66 GT. Anybody else have anyou they want to post?

Assume you had a mint condition stock 1st gen. How much would it cost to make it turn really good?

is it illegal to paint plates even if they are registered to the car??

Sadly without their approval. But fuck them if they say no

nice collection m8.

i remember you posting a few years ago, san jose r-right?

You can get new plates issued in black & gold in CA now. Assuming you do a decent job of repainting the plates, how is a cop even going to know?

I live in a different state. the idea of changing my plates sounds cool until the cops start being abusive fucks

Yeah it's been a while! Cool car man

This right here. Black and yellow plates on any vintage car, especially 1st gen mustangs, cops aren't going to notice. Get the new ones if you're a nervous nancy, but I say paint away.

So you're a non-retarded Catstang?

>so far
????????

They dont fit

At least he was attempting something, not just a bus rider.
He had a lot of heart, just not experience.

Shelby owners on Veeky Forums where the fuck have they been?

64' ½ Mustang Owner here.

Really nice collection user! Keep up the good work.

(shitty pic taken with my phone at night, but it is the most recent I have)

>64' ½
the fuck, is it a 63, 64 or 65.

None of the above. It's a 64 1/2

Funny thing is that I see more black plates on dark-colored newer cars than on classics around here. They're very popular on luxury vehicles around Beverly Hills and such.
