>there will never be another Australian designed and built Holden or Ford ever again
Nathan Johnson
When I have the money and time in 15-20 years I will start a car business that revives or replicates old holdens and some fords to be enjoyed properly. Like the Morgan car company but I'll redesign or modify a close torana body to fit exactly the GTR-X and put in modern running gear.
So it will have something like the current HSV's, an LS9 or LSA, 6spd, limited slip diff, modern suspensions etc but it will look exactly the same. This is the one Australian car out of all of them that I think deserved to and should have been sold internationally, but Americans had to pull the plug as usual. If they marketed it in the U.S. Japan, and Britian they could have sold shitloads of them.
Aiden Bennett
As if the camaro isn't going to get an awesome rebadge and slight facelift for aussieland.
Just look at the success of the mustang here, they'd be wild not to cash in with that.
I like the look of that shitbox, who knows how many people have owned it jesus fuck it looks fun. Can I too hope to be the next flaming wreck on the side of the road? Fixing a shit box while having my current shitbox hell yeah. Need the shitbox for the towbar and such.
Which fordcunt here is selling that soarer ill have it if its good enough shitbox value
Gabriel Mitchell
Falcondouche. He's in wa
Brody Garcia
wait its not tubro'd nah fuck that moving on yeah a big yeah nah on that. Yeah nah. Unless you know, he wants to prove that its worthy enough to get all the way here
Fuck, what do you get when you want to tow things but also go fast. 2 or more cars without storage seems like a way to get shit stolen. Or except the fact you live in the ghetto and shell out for theft and fire but muh shekels
Leo Rivera
>Fuck, what do you get when you want to tow things but also go fast. XR6T. Pulls like a train and still will fucking go hard
Josiah Hernandez
>XR6T but muh jap shit box mang
Jose Price
A jap box will struggle to tow t b h. Falcon is good since it has the 4L of displacement to get the torks and also a turbo to please your tsutututu desires
Asher Anderson
the xr6t engine will be our gens boomer engines we sell for 10k in 20 years. start collecting boiz
Xavier Clark
you do realise they all have the same internals yeah? only different is factory LPG and Typhoon which are the same as each other but stronger than the rest
Dylan Cox
No they will be collectors items.
Carson Hall
>there will be a day when you can get a barra 6 turbo for a couple of slabs and a day off ripping it out a car Feels bad man
Caleb Rogers
They already exist. I got a barra for a slab of CC and dry.
Henry Ramirez
how would it be collectible when there are millions of them made by the time they're all gone there will be no more cars
Joshua Jenkins
They are collectors items dude. Just because you cannot afford great Australian engineering doesn't mean you need to be jealous.
Aiden Barnes
Good plan lad. I think I might buy a nice one and clean it out before converting it to furniture. Then when the prices peak I can reassemble it and sell it off for big money since it will be super mint
Blake Ross
There will come a time when they become scarce.
The average Commonwhore owner is braindead retarded and most Falcon owners just abuse how reliable their cars are and don't do shit to service them.
Why not look to the real long term. Imagine 40 years in the future. Once self driving cars become a thing there will be no more focus on performance cars or anything like that. Even old V8s like this will still be fast. I mean they're saying cars in the future won't have steering wheels anymore
Levi Green
The collectable ones are the non thrashed, well looked after ones.. And seeing the people that drive Falcons I can't imagine many will last
Owen Richardson
Just how much does a barra weight? Think I could carry one on my bike? I need to get on this craze quick before the prices skyrocket.
Andrew Martinez
They aren't that heavy
Wyatt Reed
Uhmm... they're pretty fukken heavy with their iron block. And long
Xavier Gutierrez
Apparently you are right. I'm seeing weights of 200kg ish, less than a RB and JZ despite being 1.5L bigger than them
Oliver Perez
Fuck the Barra is awesome
Asher Hall
Its a fucking cunt to find info on it. Best I got was forums say 200kg for the turbo and 180 for the NA, fully dressed.
Sounds like bullshit, such a long iron block engine cant be that light
Jeremiah Reyes
FUCK SHITTY MUSTANGS AND GAY AS AIDS CAMARO CORVETTE CANCER I WANT FALCODORES BACK REEEEEEEEEEEEEEE
Cameron Young
the tsutsu desire is real friend, I have a go fast sv650 already, but turbos are something else. Fuck I can't make myself like the xr6 though.
>300 dollars for a plane ticket to perth 5 hour flight 40 hour drive back come on cunt do it mad cheap ill get it
Anthony Anderson
>tsutsu tsu >SV650
You sure you know what you're talking about? Turbos are fun, yeah, when the boost comes on but I hate the lag
Jeremiah Gomez
well I'm saying I would deal with it cause its what come with the tsutsutsu the bike is stupid fast but different
Hell I like nice flat NA power but the pull to get a turbo is also there I dont know. what do you drive?
One thing though, must always be manual.
Landon Parker
Stagea?
Chase Richardson
Whats not to love? A go fast falcon is is great, or you could get the big BOSS V8 if displacement is your thing
Owen Thompson
>but I hate the lag Thats a bad fucking meme, get good at shitfting and you wont land below boost. And the falcon has enough tork to get past that anyway.
Tyler Cruz
All kinds of YES. I love it heaps. Maybe too much. however >finding manual and non shitbox value price
I bought a Landcruiser. Sold the triton and the bike.
Its been a long time since i have been here, how is everyone going?
Ayden Torres
I drive a piece of shit Fiesta right now m8, but planning on getting an SS Ute next year.
I want to keep it either forever or until I give it to a son/grandson or sell it for mad cash. Otherwise someone can prise it from my cold dead hands. That's why I want to buy it new, saving up muh shekels... I always wanted to get an SV650 too but now I'm older and it's just for shiggles I might just get a CB400. I live in a fucking huge hellhole of a city on the east coast. Hence response from idle is important to me. Yeah, if I only drove on the track that would make some sense...
Adam Harris
How do I find out about upcoming car events guys? I want to go to one of those things where people with neat cars just show up in a field and all that. I want to see a bunch of old cool Euro cars.
Landon Price
Thats sick as nice buy
Brody Young
SV650s are mad as fuck and sound badass MT09s would be my 2nd go if I get shot of the SV but I love it, might save and do a top yoke change to make it a bit more less hell on the back or get the MT09.
Grayson Ramirez
>he can't carry 200kg
Jose Reyes
>There are people on this board posting right now who can't carry a 200kg engine tucked under there arm and ride their motorbike back home
Noah Bennett
>implying you can operate a motorcycle properly with anything under your arm
You'd need to stick it on your lap inside your jacket m8.
Caleb Russell
>Not just putting it on a skateboard and towing it around Plebs
John Gray
>Buy cheap unregistered superbike >Strip license and repaint the fairings black >Become a midnight rider How fucked would I get for this? I was thinking of just taking it out once or twice a month at 2am
Michael Parker
just dont get caught, make some sick footage of it too
Levi Bennett
Thats the plan. Whats the limit that cops will chase too here? 160kmh still?
Asher Clark
>Ocky strap it to the handle bars
Gavin Sanchez
AHAHAHHAHAHAH!
No.
The barra is easily 50kg heavier than a fucking RB/JZ.
I'm talking permanently bend engine hoists heavy
John Bailey
>occy strap 200kg Barra to handlebars >touch front brake >instant stoppie
I see no problem here.
Mason Howard
Whats the price of a dressed RB/JZ? I found that a dressed Barra 6 (NA) is 180kg
William Morales
There were millions of the chevy impala made, too.
They're now worth money
LPG has stronger rods and normal pistons, F6 and BF MK2 XR6T have same rods with stronger pistons, BA-BF XR6T have stronger pistons with non-turbo rods
Kevin Morris
>I found that a dressed Barra 6 (NA) is 180kg calling shit on this
Carter Miller
I have 20s on my vy commodore and some people say they will crack easily where as others say they will be fine.
What are the chances of them cracking? I usually hit a lot of small potholes but nothing big or sometimes when I go over train tracks I'll be doing 40. Will they eventually crack with that or will they only crack if I hit a big pothole at a reasonable speed?
Logan Walker
And i found that a dressed barra 6 NA is in no way, shape or form anywhere near 180kg. That's 30kg heavier than a honda F20C, 180kg MIGHT be the weight of a block with internals.
A 1JZ-GTE weighs 200-220kg depending on what's included, and the barra is at least 50kg on top of that.
Daniel Ward
Looks like shit, they'll crack at the first sign of a proper pothole and you'll get defected constantly.
No, about 190 is correct. Unsure where you're getting your numbers from but they're wrong unless you're including transmission weight
Josiah Sanchez
Yeah, bull fucking shit mate.
As someone who has pulled both barra and 1JZ, the barra is a whole hell of a lot heavier and the 1JZ weighs right around 200kg without turbo(s).
A turbo barra permanently bent an engine hoist that had been used to pull tons of other engines in the past, it is NOT under 200kg unless you pull the fucking head off.
Asher Stewart
Fuck I am nervous about cracking them. I never get pulled over so we'll see if I get defected constantly. I guess I just gotta be careful around potholes.
Train tracks are fucking shit though, why they fuck can't they make the road smooth over them ffs.
Samuel Brooks
I mean for fuck sake, if the barra actually was under 200kg people would be using them in place of RBs and JZs constantly because of how much more reliable power they make.
I see VLs with barras and i laugh because those fucking weak little frames will be twisted pieces of shit after the first 1/4 run, it's like putting a 454 in a torana
Brayden Rogers
>I mean for fuck sake, if the barra actually was under 200kg people would be using them in place of RBs and JZs constantly because of how much more reliable power they make. I think length is the biggest issue. They are long fucking engines that struggle to fin into anything
If you add transmission then yes you're there as the R154 is a heavy cunt.
Falcon 4Ls are 180-190kg.
Jaxon Collins
Yeah, bullshit. Once again, the F22C weighs 150-160kg and it's a fucking aluminium I4, the 1JZ is pretty much spot on 200kg without turbos.
Stop spreading bullshit information around, just because 1 dickhead says 'hurr only weighs 150kg mate' and the rest of the world says 200kg+ doesn't mean you go with the fucking low estimate.
The barra is 250kg or more with manifolds, if it was actually 180-190kg we wouldn't be having this fucking talk because i would have one in my soarer.
They're not that much longer than a JZ/RB, would absolutely fit in a soarer/supra/cressida/chaser.
Jack Bell
>They're not that much longer than a JZ/RB, would absolutely fit in a soarer/supra/cressida/chaser. What the fuck Its 1.5L larger but nearly as big and same weight as the RB >Barra 6 T from bell housing flange to balancer 790mm >physical dimensions of the RB25DET it is 30.5" long (774mm)
209kg WITH TRANSMISSION and all ancilliaries, even the heavy ass stock headers which anyone who isn't brain dead removes
Jackson Price
Length is not much different, they are however very tall. Don't fit in most things without crossmembers cut and shut to mount them lower down. There was a barra R32 at WTAC, don't really understand the point but hey it's different.
Caleb Jackson
They have a long stroke. Displacement alone isn't going to tell you how long they are
Aaron Bailey
Stroke and bore spacing brah, 86mm to 92.2mm bore isn't that much of a difference, barras have a long as fuck stroke though at 99.3mm, making them pretty all and also making them hate to rev.
There's more than enough space under the bonnet of a soarer to fit one, though, and length wise all you'd need is an electric thermo fan and you'd be set.
The difference is that i don't feel like adding 50kg or more to the front of my front heavy shit
Sebastian Harris
>He cant handle just how based the barra is Just accept it mate. You cant compete against this
Angel Nguyen
Shame on you. Small rims with fat tyres is the patrician choice. Gotta be thicc
Dominic Rogers
Kind've can compete, in order to make a turbo that size useful that barra would need to be destroked to 3.7L so it can rev A 2J can be a 3.4L fairly easily
Dylan Myers
>Mr.midlife crisis comes past me in an Ecoboost mustang with the plates ECOPONY >Thinks he is the sickest cunt out >rip a straight up 180 and pull up beside him >reeeeee while staring at him and take off wot >he can't catch me in his meme mobile
Cunts like this couldn't buy a Falcon, because they wanted to pretend they were some kind of burger and crash into bystanders trying to do a skid
Lincoln Fisher
>mustang How sad, they even got rejected for the new cop car since they were too slow.
>the Ford Mustang passed a brake test in the simulated pursuit at the police driving academy in Goulburn, however the automatic transmission overheated after just two laps, or about three minutes of driving.
Jaxon Thomas
You're a fucking braindead idiot. Air being moved is air being moved regardless whether it's being done in a small cylinder quickly or in a big cylinder slower
Isaac Taylor
Since do rpms make turbos spin and not the given volume of combustion gases be forced into the turbine?
Luke Johnson
>Needing to rev to work a turbo Thats not how it works kiddo. A properly tuned turbo will provide peak power where its needed not at some arbitrary RPM.
You realise that by adjusting the turbine and compressor sizes you can get differeing results, and then there is the A:R ratio, and in a turbo of that size and usage I'm going to guess its custom
Jose Powell
Kek. I'm looking forward to the cops getting cucked into elantras
Jacob Diaz
Why arent we pushing for cops to have more eco friendly cars. I think they should all switch to priusus.
Henry Ortiz
Hyundai i20s or barina. No chance of catching hoons anymore, so we just stop running plates
Oliver Garcia
You dumb fucks think a turbo that spools at 6,500rpm and an engine that has a limiter of 7,000rpm is the way to go, huh? youtube.com/watch?v=z10Sr13_YLI
Ambos need a new division ASAP Rapid Response. A high end motorcycle, probably a S1000R going off what the copper use, with a top box of medical supplies. It will be the first vehicle there and can get shit started for the big ambos in the vans
Imagine lying on the ground after a crash and a fucking bike comes up a minute after the call was placed, does a sick stoppie as it arrives before patching you up and feeding you with painkillers, an angel on wheels
Chase Sanchez
Ive seen plenty of Ambos and Firies driving smaller rapid response vehicles.
Nothing with two wheels though. Most likely because of what these workers have seen but cannot unsee...
Tyler Adams
Fuck off, not even the same engine. Whats stopping the turbo from spooling at a reasonable RPM huh? Magic since the rpms arent high enough?
Ian Smith
The turbo only spools at 6500 rpm because that's when there is sufficient flow of exhaust gas to spin the turbine.
Removing capacity removes exhaust gas volume at a given rpm where increasing capacity would increase exhaust gas volume.
Tyler Cox
Well never see this before so I'll post as a new ausfag
But does every man and his fucking dog have a bummed out (red) ford laser lying about or that a tassie thing
Nathaniel Walker
Pretty much, very hard to kill those cars
Until the starter motor eats its gears, then its all downhill

Anyone else get anxiety about pooping when people are within earshot? My toilet has a bedroom right next to it, and there is always someone in there. Do I wait to poop or what?
Jace Myers
I find it best to over come your fear what u need to do is shotgun 8 cans of red bull eat only bread till your about to shit pure liquid then wait till people are home then detonate your Angus and walla no more fear big boy don't have a scared of no one
Justin Sullivan
>3 boxes of tic tacs >a pack of chewing gum > 2 litres of red bull
It'll be a horrendously gassy liquid shart
Isaac Bennett
Jesus christ. I want to shit not fucking die. One can of that shit makes my heart race, gives me the sweats and the shakes
Bread I can get behind. I will just eat 3 or 4 pieces by themselves, they are actually pretty sweet even without jam or shit
Henry Brown
not memeing. but i genuinely want a EB XR6

HA HA GAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY bet you like 3500 to
