Post souls boobies

Why are all hosts such cunts lately?

Evens sorcerer, odds quality

Claymore and other greatswords is bae

Anyone want to watch a DaS3 speedwalk with me?

Also if we can stop letting the tripfag make new threads and stop replying to/acknowledging his existence, that would be great.

Remember, it will go away if you stop giving it attention.

Nice shitboxes.

Remember kids. DON'T be a namefag

>There are people in this thread that actually like Friede
Trash

Is there a way to make saint bident at least usable ?

28str/40faith dmb and heavy

nth for the moonlight sword

Posting for new thread

To add to the discussion of DaS3 weapon variety, is it just me or did strength get completely fucked?

In DaS2 you had various options for strength builds. You could use certain straight swords to good effect. There were many axes. There were small axes, greataxes, and even medium axes (such as the lion dude axes) which were all fairly viable. You had various greathammers with various cool strong attacks. You had a big variety of UGS to choose from, out of which almost all were very viable. There was a big amount of heavy unique boss weapons that you could use to great effect and had fun attacks on it. You could even use curved swords, like the red rusted stuff if you wanted to. You had fucking lances for thrust weaponry even. A good amount of greatswords and halberds and other such weapons were specifically made with strength builds in mind.

Meanwhile in DaS3 the only things you can use that are decent in your hands are
>greataxes
of which all have the exact. same. moveset. with only one exact attack: vertical chops.
>greathammers
which aren't very good, but atleast they don't scale better with dex than they scale with str. Also just one moveset except for one or two weapons with a special r2.
>hammers and axes
which are just flatout shit versions of straightswords

UGS are quality weapons now. Good luck trying to break 500 AR on a strength build.

I'm already struggling to think of more. There's the occasional outlier like Gundyrs Halberd. That might just be the only one, though.

Friede is CUTE

How to get into Kings Field? I met this giant octopus on land but he just slapped me and I died.

What are some fun weapons/powerstance combinations in DS2
I tried using two Greatswords but the powerstance swing felt borderline unusable due to how slow it was

Why is this not the best weapon in the game?

WA Roll R2 one shots people.

What is true fashion /dsg/?

you're not supposed to fuck with her yet, go explore until you find the right way

the start of KF is basically the start of dark souls 1 if every path but one from firelink led to the graveyard

My fashion

Because it never hits anyone ever

>see a guy with GSoJ
>he throws a lightning bolt at me
>think he must be at least SL200 to have invested in STR DEX INT and FTH
>GSOJ's buff wears off
>turns out it was just a bastard sword with DMB and untrue dark ring
Why do these swords look nearly identical?
Why do these buffs look identical?

My fashion in impeccable.

I didn't play ds2 pvp much. Why was this a problem?

Unfortunately ds3 is already lost. I doubt at this point they would make great weapons great again.

Minor balance changes to weapon dmg is all we would expect at this point. Someone made the point in the previous thread that des did it right, and I agree, where the dragonslayer great sword would knock people around.

Maybe in the next installment.

>Could running/roll attack with left hand weapon in 2
>Regress to only basic L1 attack in 3

This is what drove me crazy. There is no reason or change in the controls that would have stopped them doing what they did in 2. WHY CHANGE IT BACK!?

It simply gave a lot of AR if you were high level. I think you could put it on weapons that didn't scale, like Santier's, to give them AR they were never meant to have.

sl25 invading with knightslayer and greatclub
these goobers are veritably parrying themselves

you look like a dead rat senpai

Dark Souls 2 had a completely different engine and structure than DS1/3 and BB. DS3 is a jumble of code pulled over from DaS and BB. Rather than overhaul their weapon system to match the one in DS2 they just pulled the one from DaS whole cloth.

It was a flat damage boost not reflected in paper AR, which made it busted on rapid multi-hit weapons like Santier's or Avelyn. It did eventually get nerfed for those kinds of weapons specifically, though, which ended the era of Havelyns.

>Could
>Regress

DaS3 in a nutshell

Make 99 VIG viable /dsg/

cgk my dude

Why cant we infuse bows again?

That sounds about right, given how much different 2 felt compared to the others. Makes me pessimistic that one of my favorite things will ever return. Well that and being invaded in areas where the boss was already dead.

a solid 7/10

I feel the same way. Same reason powerstancing didn't come back, there's no fall control quit glitch in 2 when there is in 1 and 3, and skin textures looked so different in DS2 than they do in 1 and 3. Just hope that if they do a game like this again they'll do less recycling so they have an opportunity to really assess what was good about each game and pull in the stuff that really worked from each.

Except even DaS1 handles things better than DaS3. You had various combos that didn't necessarily stunlock, but atleast looked good.

You also definitely had tons of unique weapons

I hope you have hornet on
and maybe this get up for old time's sake
mugenmonkey.com/darksouls3/119240

Couldn't agree more. The problem came about when they chose to mix together a bunch of shit from DeS/DaS and some stuff from BB. I don't mind the faster pace much in PvE, but it fucks with PvP too much for my taste. If we had the improved netcode and harder to land backstabs of DaS2/3 with the general combat style of 1 I'd be a happy guy

here you go senpai

>refined

fucking disgusting

I did

This is the only acceptable way to use that headpiece unless you're doing a direct cosplay of NK or a Star Platinum cospoor

It seems like every new title brings big improvements in some areas, but are also hugely lacking in others.

In DaS3 I love how the matchmaking works. You constantly get chucked into clusterfucks of pvp, I love that shit. But the weapons are the worst in the series so far.

Is she, dare I say it, our gal?

I'm really hoping their next attempt at a dark fantasy game takes a tack closer to the earlier souls games OR goes full bloodborne. The halfway mix has a lot of issues I don't know how to easily resolve

>Red eyes
>Looks like shit
>Behind bars
Absolutely

>the weapons are the worst in the series so far.
This so much this. I am really struggling to find something to stick to. I can usually home in on a weapon and commit to it, but am unable to do that in 3. I am still holding out hope for the next dlc.

>veeheeheehe

>lives in a dark, dank room
>red eyes
>lives alone
sounds about right

While they do the grimdark stuff well, I'm kind of hoping they'll do a fully different setting sometime. Like a more classical fantasy game, which DS2 was hinting at, might be really cool. Or maybe another direction entirely, like sci-fi

>okay let's make the healing BB speed
>and make the enemies BB speed
>and keep the weapons and general speed of the player down
>except for rolling which costs half the stamina and has no recovery
>and let's just regress in every way mechanics wise from DaS2
>also, functionally no movesets since we're putting our real effort into our new IPs

Dark Souls 3

Nice things can be said about it too. The zones are really nice. They look good, they feel natural, some of them are really cool...
Enemies are also rather fun to fight, and the bossfights are the best in the series so far imo

People that point down after a solid/non-meta/fair duel: what's your story?

I'd just like to know what is going through your head when you do it. Of course you're entitled to use whatever gesture you want after a fight. Hell, if there were a "middle finger" gesture, I'd expect it to get frequent use; but for scummy wins and cheap tactics, not for genuinely enjoyable and good-natured fights.

Are you upset I'm not running a build identical to yours? Are you offended that I actually took away most of your health? Are you legitimately out to passive aggressively rub salt in a wound? Let me know, cause y'all fascinate me.

I won't even disclose the amount of salty mail I've gotten from people that BEAT me (Yes. They won, and felt the need to message me about it). But the content ranges from homophobic epithets, assaults on my integrity as a gamer, and of course unprovoked/unwanted advice on how to play the game "properly."

Seems no matter what weapon/build I run, I am a magnet for this kind of behavior.

And no, my username isn't ISISnazi420blazeit (that was taken unfortunately).

So tell me: what's the real story?

It means "know your place." You may have thought it was a solid duel, but they thought you were garbage.

Only this clown would respond in earnest to reddit copypasta kek

>first time playing
>slowly walk towards the opening, don't step into the water
> (X) TALK
>flirty voice, can't see her
>boner
>step into the water to see who i'm talking to
>mfw

>he goes to reddit enough to know their pastas
Neo-/dsg/ truly is garbage.

trust lucy to reply to stale pasta because he's that desperate to have everyone know what he thinks

shhhh, don't talk to it. You'll make it post more lol

>heh... maybe you will think twice before getting up... kid
>you're 100 years too early to beat me

Do you have brain problems? It's not a copypasta from reddit, it's a genuine reddit post that's been making the rounds as kopipe here

shhh, no tears

yeah buddy speaking of "knowing your place"
You may have thought it was a solid response, but they thought you were garbage.

Remind the fucking faggot who he is. Go back to /bbg/ and die there where you belong.

REMINDER: DO NOT FEED THE TRIPFAG
IT WILL GO AWAY WHEN YOU STOP GIVING IT ATTENTION

>making another character of the same starting class just so I don't have to constantly redownload my cloud save, respec, switch armor and weapon, etc.

I sure wish Warrior wasn't just purely superior to any other class for a melee build.

youtube.com/watch?v=w_OASWeKTbo

If you're going to put a Hollow gem in a weapon, is there any point in putting STR or DEX to 40, as well?

Yes. Quality Hollow is a very strong build

>40 VIG
>40 END
>27 STR
>40 DEX
>30 LCK
>2h Hollow (weapon)
>Hollow (offhand weapon/shield/parry tool)

>I'd just like to know what is going through your head when you do it.
ehehehehe

~20 points of luck and gives up a blessed offhand for 10~20 more AR and 5 more bleed buildup

not worth it

Just use the ring then. DaS3 has FOUR ring slots.

FCs when

...

because those stats arent even that good compared to several weapons with ez mode wide-slashing movesets - and literally whom are you fighting that get's hit by a purely vertical ultra weapon with like a full second of animation tells before a swing?

the best iteration in souls

wish they would have made it trick into the final moonlight sword though

(

Once you get used to the pace of the game, Kings Field is actually pretty cool. I've only just acquired the fire magic but I like it so far

heh.....

I never liked the true Moonlight Sword in KF3, it was way too overdesigned.

why would they ban people for FCs?

didn't play ds1
what the fuck is ravioli and what is he doing

So, for dex bleed, I should do 40 dex and 30 luck for the attack stats, then?

I wasn't sure if a hollow gem makes a weapon lose its original dex or str scaling.

The only reason people complain about Dark Souls 2 so much is because it asks more out of your intelligence than the other games. Prove me wrong.

It's a backstep that can go to any direction. Normally backstep just moves you back.

yes thats true
it requires a lot of intelligence to realize its absolutely shit

in KF3 it was overdesigned yeah

but it wouldn't look the same in a souls game and overdesigning it there would make it not fit the art style

i just want a second form with the larger crossguard/sharper blade/improved special attack

Its long, decent ar and a spear. Whats unusable about it?

The PvE was ass, which is why most people hate it.

Some of the mechanics and ideas in DS2 were actually really good, but the main focus of the game was so poor that it doesn't really make up for it unless you only played PvP.

It's absolutely shit in how you can't cheese it like in the other games?

>most people hate it.
That's a pretty broad statement. Unless you meant "this is the reason behind most of the hatred within the specific group of people who DO hate it".

It takes a much, much shittier game than DaS2 for the average gamer (no, not the average 4channer) to "hate" a game.

Most people liked DaS2. Why else would they have made DaS3 more like DaS2 than DaS1?

It drops str/dex scaling by a small amount, the added luck scaling usually bridges the gap in terms of physical damage though.

Honestly you'd get by fine with red jelly on a regular dex build, going hollow basically takes you from 5 hits to bleed down to 4, sure if you want to be super specialised it's an option but it's not a particularly good one.

But people are dropping DaS3 like flies for the superior Bloodborne.

>cant cheese it
have you even watched a speedrun?

the entire concept of das2 was to make it long so people would enjoy it longer

zones are thrown next to each other without making any sense
the hollowed character looks like something from dayz
bosses are pretty much the same literally having the same fucking tiger twice oh wait no 3 times

its like literally a game where all the people who had an idea got away with it and was put in the game
everything is needlessly long because they thought the more mobs there are and the bigger the area is the longer it is
well really not

its a god damn mess

Yeah, if you're staying at lower levels like 60/70/80
otherwise, you will want to pump STR up to 40 as well, especially if you're planning on using rouged hollow Onikiri and Udabachi (which I highly recommend).

40 dex, 30+10 luck, Hollow O&U +10 = 377ar
40str, 40dex, 30+10 luck, Hollow O&U +10 =441 ar

It becomes the hardest hitting twin blades in the game and bleeds in one WA+L1 combo or L1+L1 combo

that means you will basically get a bleed proc every two hits, which melts people.

Bloodborne > Dark Souls 3 > Dark Souls 1 > Dark Souls 2 (i love dark souls 2 i just dont enjoy it as much as 1)

rate my shit taste
