Tfw previous owner didn't grease the slide pins

>tfw previous owner didn't grease the slide pins
Seems like everytime i replace something it's 10x harder than its supposed to be.
Auto repair feels thread?

>doing spark plugs on a Ford
>the threads come out with the plug
it's ALWAYS the back cylinders

Drill it out and replace the caliper if you can afford to.

Yerp

Fuck man I had that problem on my ex's f150. Worse part is when you turn the ratchet too hard and it shatters, shards of bullshit fall into the cylinder.

Cant afford it, gonna try a torch on the bracket

fuck that really sucks. it got to the point where i welded a M14X1.25 plug tap on the end of an extension and kept a small box of thread inserts nearby whenever i did any tune-ups on the older triton motors.

that could work.

got access to air? get an air chisel and zap it out.

>16 previous owners
That's all I have to say

Slide hammer + vice grips. Also wire wheel once you get it out.

>when you know your girl is used goods but you can't afford better

> tracing a short
> it comes and goes when I wiggle a two-inch-thick bundle of wires where it goes through the firewall

fun times

TORQUE WRENCH

I always use antiseize compound and a torque wrench on my spark plugs.
Never had a single problem.

I've tried the vice grips as well, just had to buy a new bracket unfortunately

they sold me the wrong bracket.. back to autozone. Why does this happen?

unfortunately, not everyone does that.

I broke SEVEN out of EIGHT lugs on the driver's side on my Miats. That, in addition to the built-up stress of the shitty town and shitty schedule and shitty people I had to deal with in addition to my own incompetence, resulted in three dents appearing above the wheel arches.

>tfw the owner tries to replace their crank seal, but they crack the timing cover instead

I can't really complain about a 15 hour ticket though.

>spend 3 hours with a torch, mallet and screwdriver trying to get the slides out.
>give up, buy a new bracket and have it all back together in 10 minutes.
I should be less stubborn next time huh?

Never met a bolt that beat heat

>when you service your brakes but your front rotors still shit
