I have to say, Makina's route has actually been very enjoyable so far. Once I got past the initial hump of "God i hate Makina, that's why I skipped this last time" she mellowed out a ton and getting bits and pieces of Yuuji's backstory like this is pretty nifty.

Does anyone here play on a tablet?
My old laptop just died and since reading VNs is pretty much all I used it for I was thinking I would replace it with a nice new tablet. Android sounds like a complete pain as far as compatibility is go and I read a lot on the go meaning screensharing with my PC would tear through my mobile data usage, so I'd probably go with a Windows one. Obviously that'd mean Windows 10 though, is the support for newer VNs there yet? I still run Win7 on my PC so I have no experience with it.

If you've got nothing better to read then sure. At them oment it's making me re-read a bucnh of shit I've already read and not allowing me to skip it because technically it's a new scene that's 95% identical to an earlier scene. Don't think I'd recommend it strongly unless the ending really manages to impress, since none of the game has done that at all. It's a very clumsy attempt at denpa.

i have one on win8 and some VNs give me trouble, mainly with display (black screens and such)
i don't see win10 being any better
honestly if your setup doesn't absolutely require a tablet i'd advise sticking to a laptop

Compatibility is going to be really shit, most things just straight up won't run on Win10.
Unless you want to play nothing but new releases, and I mean actual new releases, not the English ports of older games we're mostly getting, your best bet is either getting a cheap netbook/laptop again or throwing down some real money and buying a tablet that's powerful enough to run a VM with Win7, maybe something like a Surface. Pretty big investment though if you don't want to do anything but play VNs with it.

You could also try getting a Win8 tablet and changing the OS to Win7 and praying that the drivers work. Win8 and 7 are pretty close to each other so they should for most hardware.
