Solaire is the worse summon for Gaping. And even if you don't summon for Gaping, he has a fuckton of hitpoints for such an early level boss. I broke my katana while fighting him solo and had to switch to an unupgraded scimitar and the fight took like forever.

The NPC summons for the fight are even dumber than usual.

Spiked Mace is objectively the most fun Greathammer in DaS3, because nimble spins on a traditionally sluggish weapon.
Quakestone gets an honorable mention for blowing up shitters.
