I really like the game, but it had so much potential that was wasted. The story in Conquest and Revelation is irredeemable, and birthright isn't much better.
Birthrout is terrible for obvious reasons, and Revelation has terrible balancing problems.
Most characters can be summed up in 3 words or less. Give me any character.

I am picking up fates soon but I just see mixed opinions about it. Either people tell me it is really good or really bad.

Awakening is total shit, Fates is even shittier in a lot of aspects but Conquest has better map design than Awakening so people try to make it out like that alone means it has good gameplay overall.

Fates taken as a whole is pretty crap.

Terrible plot, awful dialogue and supports, 3DS graphics look like crap.

Conquest is the only route where gameplay feels like an improvement. But 1 route of 3 doing well does not make a good game. I guess the game has some good tunes as well but they usually get overwhelmed by all the shitty tracks it has too

I think a fun way to do this might be to do a day of FE6, then a day of FE5, or try a chapter-to-chapter basis. If it gets too rough on both ends, I might just stick with FE5 until I beat that like I was originally going to do.

At least this way, if I get pissed at something, I can just switch to the other game to cool off.
