I have the same problem. I found it hard to keep a job because my sleep schedule is so fucked up. Not being able to work for someone else forced me into self-employment and then into business.

a lot of successful business people have flaws that make them unemployable. I sleep all day so I found a field where I can choose my hours and work only at night if I want.

A few times I've had to do a few days with only 2-4 hours of sleep each day before, once it's over I end up crashing for 15+ hours. I'm pretty sure when you have it it just comes naturally

But I live above the polar circel in sweden, there is only sun an hour or two in the winter. Sometimes the sun doesn't rise at all.

The way to do it is to take two, 45 minute long naps during the day. You sacrifice 1.5 hours but at night you only have to sleep for 4, versus 8. I've been doing triphasic for 5 years, I spend my lunch hour taking a nap, and then one more nap when I get home.

The other benefit of doing this isn't just the saved time, but you get up and go to sleep quicker. ie no more shitty groggy hour where you spend a quarter of your day waiting to actually wake up. I can be out the door and wide awake in 30 seconds if I have to.

start out as biphasic and if it works for you, move up to triphasic. Just one caveat with this - once you get into a different schedule, if you're forced to miss your nap, you shut down quickly.

I train with 2 undefeated pro boxers and they have to sleep at least 8 hours a day with a rest or nap after eating after the first training session.
