RIP edition previous ded: The thread is dedicated to all games about building machines and systems out of blocks, in space or otherwise. Also, all these games are ded. Only ded games may join, otherwise they must have their own thread.
WebM for retards: >gitgud.io/nixx/WebMConverter.git
List of currently known and vaguely not dead /egg/ games (this list is not fully inclusive and if you think a game might belong here, feel free to ask): >Algodoo >Avorion >Besiege >Chode - Children of Ded Earf >Empyrion - Galactic Survival >Factorio >From the Depths >Homebrew - Vehicle Sandbox >Infinifactory >KOHCTPYKTOP: Engineer of the People >Machinecraft >REM >Robocraft >Robot Arena 2 >Scrap Mechanic >SHENZEN I/O >Space Engineers >StarMade
Games that are definitely not /egg/: >Minecraft >The general that quite literally cannot be named. The Mexican scam artist one. With the shitposters. Fuck off. >Hearthstone, found in the hearthstone general, /hsg/, not in this general.
Information about these games, such as where to get them if they're not on steam, trailers, /egg/ conquered/hosted servers, and other shit can be found in this pad: public.etherpad-mozilla.org/p/eggames
I did a thing and converted an old ship to hydrogen.
Brandon Morgan
First for asking how much would the memedrive fuck with conservation of energy
Sebastian Perry
Nth for starmade NPC factions fucking never
Oliver Reed
Probably not too much, but given that it's literally an Arthur C Clarke style space drive and nobody actually know why it works it's bound to fuck with our understanding of other parts of physics.
Jacob Cox
What memedrive?
Luis Miller
I forgot about making the new thread and went to have a shower, so here are the Spiral and neutron dildo calculations for future OP use

The only thing that's linked together and working properly is the 4 full adders in the middle. 2 disconnected registers to the right to store the 2 inputs, with 1 on the left to store the output (input works but it doesn't store anything yet)
I plan to use my regular punched cards jazz, which are just rectangles with separate geoms on them which impact reading rods. Each "card" to read into the machine will be 6 bits. First 2 bits determine what to do, as per the pink box in the middle. The next 4 is the number, if needed. Can be just left blank for clearing/adding operations.
I figure I'll do a little microprogram for each component. The adder already works, one pull of a rod and it adds the two numbers and outputs into the left register, but I still need to make a cam to make it store it.
>Build a 300hp shippu propelled by two big and two small propellers >ship immediately dips to the seabed once turned on Well, besides strapping 4m slopes on my stern, which absolutely doesn't work, what I can do?
Oliver Harris
Fine, FINE I'll edit it, GOD
Thomas Wood
Okay so other than the wings, these two planes are almost identical. Same fuselage, same engine power, same maximum elevator deflection. The one with swept wings is perhaps very slightly lighter, since I added three steering hinges for the retractable landing gear but also removed two ballast blocks, four bracers and made two ballast blocks at the front lighter to compensate for the center of lift moving to the rear
The one one the left loses its wings at around 11G, while the one with swept wings rips at 19. Why does making the wings swept increase their resistance to overload?
Christian Long
use jet stabilizers
Nathan Smith
>keep getting into sponges right before the update >every week like clockwork truly a fate worse than death
Cooper Cooper
So what's the big deal now, another study claiming it works?
David Robinson
Swapped two big for six small propellers, problems seemingly ar'gon
On side note, how do I into custom flags? What are approved formats, do I need to upload that shit anywhere?
Jose Anderson
I uploaded all my shit to imgur and it works perfectly
Jaxon Richardson
The NASA one got peer reviewed, and the observed thrust was well outside the error bars.
Samuel Kelly
Any DL for Brickrigs? Want to see if it respects the most important building rule of legos.
(1 tall part with side mount + 2 thirds + 1 tall part with side mount can attach a part at 90° perfectly across 3 pegs)
>Your next step would be to transition to an MMO system. wtf
Logan Scott
/egg/men, I'm new to the whole space voxel thing. Which would you lads recommend more, StarMade, Space Engineers, or something else? If something else, what specifically would you recommend?
Nathaniel Taylor
imagine this. Dual universe came out, and end up being playable, and decent. People who do replicas will jump straight away because of the more detailed building system. The only good reason to keep playing spungos will be because rotos, pistons and contraptions, wich work like shit.
They know they are about to be undercut.
Carson Foster
>dual >working hahaha no
Jonathan Lopez
depends of what do you want to do. For robots and mechas. shit ones are in robocraft. scrap mechanic for average the best are in machinecraft, but takes time to make them, you can still play with other people's creations.
>spaceships n shit for small dogfights REM, not spengos, eggpyrion
>more sim Chode
>shit with wheels homebrew
>sorting factorio
>botes and complex weaponry FtD, besiege
>2d mechanical contraptions algodoo
>circuits and shit SHENZEN I/O
Lots to chose.
Jayden Moore
So what I'm getting from this is that StarMade and Space Engineers are shit? Also, what I'm looking for is space shenanigans primarily, with a good range between one-man fighters and fuckhueg capital ships.
Could it run StarMade or Spengos with little issue?
John Young
>laptop You can play both, but cut spengos graphics to 2003 settings.
Dylan Johnson
I actually really don´t have fps issues with spengies.
970 + 3570k here
Colton Butler
>4790k at 4.5ghz >gtx titan X maxwell I dont have that either... i guess.
The shit start when you move, because of shit LoD transitions wich stutters anything.
Julian Butler
Soon (tm)
All things progress slow but steady when it is made of stars.

Built two botes one is slow as hell and armed with single CRAM 390mm with few explosive and fragmenter ammo boxes other one is a bit faster with 2x3 missile launchers, mounted horizontally one on each broadside both are below 5k resources, and meant as expendable trash for enemies to prioritize over bigger ships
Have I done bad? Or very bad?
Dominic Campbell
what game?
Tyler Ward
>armed with single CRAM 390mm with few explosive and fragmenter ammo boxes >Have I done bad?
Yes, make it at least ~1200mm and explosive only
Angel Johnson
What's the best implementation of the new MP so far?
Henry James
Are you sure recoil won't shit me over? This shippy isn't a big shippy
Brody Scott
i'd mount the missiles on a two axis turret
Jack Davis
recoil? a CRAM? just add a recoil supressor on the gun and you'll be fine
Grayson Ross
Mag boots, and they are not even part of that, they were part of "another" multiplayer test. youtube.com/watch?v=yyZn_8SVILY
You can make courses to run and have fun for 10 minutes before get bored again.
Gavin Torres
Hold up, those aren't normal crops
Joshua Kelly
I added an underside cockpit to the spessbote like old russian cargo planes have. Really happy with it so far.
Wew looks nice I mean fuck off spengies I'm never playing you again.
>meant as expendable trash for enemies to prioritize over bigger ships
Does that work? How do you get the enemy to target the smaller ships? Would it work it they were submersible so they last longer?
Cameron Young

>rock, paper and scissor Space Engineer multiplayers >no information on what the differences are
Camden Stewart
>implying there is Joke's on you, it's still the same spengies.
Aiden Johnson
>the joke is that none of it works Would be hilarious
Christopher Reed
I've not even looked at the content but it's pretty fucking obvious to me - 3 different MP engines, release to public, see which one they break the least.
Christopher Morgan
>Modern LEGO simulator with physics pic related
Ryan Butler
Why do people do this and think they can get away with it? It's painfully obvious to someone who knows ANYTHING about coding that that's not it.
I fucking hate how dumb most people are.
Robert Howard
they said it themselves. The less you know the better, because they know.
Tyler Gutierrez
This is exactly what /egg/ needs. Multiplayer? Fucking please?
