What did you do to your car today, user?
What did you do to your car today, user?
Drive it to work and back.
Nothing. I have diarrhea.
I dont see any anti sieze on those pads
Do your work over cardboard, and clean up after yourself nigger.
I drove it and almost ran into a retard that doesn't know how to read street signs such as "yield to oncoming traffic before merging" and "yield to merge up ahead"
>work over cardboard
And nobody gave a singe fuck
Might replace a wheel hub today, it's a pain in the ass tho because captive rotors are fucking stupid
enjoy your squeaking brakes
It was almost time for the monthly wash but then it rained, so that problem took care of itself.
cleaned all the fucking leaves out of the scuttle
It's a rainy week here, it'll wash away on its own. It's just brake dust, it gets washed away when you wash the car anyway.
Installed a short shifter
Nothing
Yesterday I fixed the exhaust
Nothing, I have a reliable car with no issues and long mateneince intervals.
I just bought new windshield wipers and I'm gonna install them this weekend. Since I'm on weekend on thursday mid-day this week it should be done then.
I would do it earlier but I have shit to tend to and when I get back home it's nighttime.
Peeked at it.
You'll be home soon, little trucker. Just a few more weeks.
picked up my
>tested
>milled
>ready 2 build
k20z3 head from the shop
just about to start working on the abs/vsa sensors and some other odd jobs.
>had a new wheel bearing pressed on a spare knuckle so I can still drive my car
>refuses to stop raining so I can't install the fresh knuckle yet
Guess I'll be grinding for a few more days. ;_;
I looked at it, drove it and decided to wait with the oil change until Thursday
Removed my front upper and lower suspensioncontrol arms to check the ball joints. Something has been sounding funky.
Drive 70mph on the curviest road i go on. Still get perfect grip but suspension throws me.
Fucked it in the exhaust pipe
Worked on my motorcycle today. Bought it from a sketchy dude on Craigslist so I took it apart today to see whats good.
As to be expected, mountains of sludge all inside the countershaft sprocket cover. Some solidified mixture of grease/grit/dirt/lube that becomes rock hard.
Took off the gas tank and had to spend an hour looking up the various nigger mods people do to these bikes so I could figure out if there was a reason for the crankshaft vent hose being unplugged or if the previous seller was just a retard.
Saw it overheat like no tomorrow and for no reason.
>mfw
I finished up the rear brakes on my new to me Silverado...and it was truly a pita...
>not getting a glorious nipponese 1000 times folded shitbox where the brakes are stupid easy
What are you, a masochist?
>2 bolts for the slide pins
>pull out the pads
>2 bolts for bottom half of caliper
>rotor just slides off, no hammer or threading in two bolts on the face needed
>installation is the reverse of removal
>changes pads a rotor thinks he's a master mechanic on Veeky Forums
Lel just don't rear end me nigger
Where did I say anything about being a master mechanic? Either way, how many ase certs do you have? I'm going to school for it and have 3 so far.
I'm Canadian, I'm level three for my schooling
I SCRATCHED MY FUCKING ALUMINUM RIMS
FUCK
FUCK
REEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE
HAD TO USE THE BLOWTORCH AND VISE GRIPS FOR 10 FUCKING SEIZED BOLTS
FUCK
Checked the engine oil, it's at half level and according to markings in the garage was last changed in 2011.
Then drove it around on snowy backroads enjoying that it still handles and accelarates well despite no rear brakes and unstudded tires
>He doesn't break things on his car intentionally to fix them
I hope you like horrible brake noise
Ordered tires for it... again
I am so done ordering tires online. I'll pay the extra 15-20%, support a local business and also shop from someone I know isnt a conplete mbecile and who also wont screw me over
>rainy week here
Texas?
Bought a cheap 15 dollar multimeter to see where my power drain is coming from, can a car with a completely drained battery start from jumper cables? Or a push start down a fairly large hill?
Yes and yes
Good idea to let it sit with cables attached for a few minutes before jumping to charge the battery a little
Also note that batteries dont like being charged from dead to full while driving. Puts a lot of stress on it
early access to race stripes does nothing
Washed it and washed the doorframe and the rubber and gave it silikone since it has gotten wintery
Cleaned the battery terminals and gave them silikone
Put in winter-ready windowwasher fluid
Vacuumed it
Now I just need to get some winter tires on it and oil up the moving parts on doors, hatch and engineroom hatch
Yes, Austin
Oh shit, I'm in Austin too. Neat.
Next time maybe...
removed light bulb in trunk because it started to be always on
I cried that I don't have enough money for parts or tools to fix it
I fully expect to die soon once my brakes fail
Why not attempt to fix the relay or switch?
I scratched my rims today too. Soo sad
They are OEMs though so not too big of a deal
I see, thanks. So it would be better to use a trickle charger? I know someone who I can borrow one from, but this battery is pretty new and I don't want to have to take all the stickers off to get at the plugs I'd have to pull out to let it air while charging.
I hooked it up to a trickle charger.
I feel bad for it cause I never drive it.
Because he's a fucking retard.
