The tone and gameplay are far from perfect in comparison to the older games but the only studio I think who could handle it decently in these modern times are Irrational Studios.

Human Revolution's brand of yellow post-processing was pretty gross I'll agree, and the DLC whoring they do is also pretty bad but the gameplay in Mankind Divided was a pretty good step up, same with the art direction and overall writing. Just not enough to warrant a $60 price tag.
