idk, had this issue with FM5 because I killed the game while it was saving (and didn't notice the icon), maybe you alt-F4'd out of the game while it was saving in free roaming or something

don't know if it's salvageable though, sorry, unless you played the game once on an xbone and still have an old savegame

No, i didn't.
But i fixed it. Redownloaded the Game and resynced my files with the server. Game works again and my save is still there.

After I completed it it was pretty fun to take the rally cars back round the stages and shit because the handling model was satisfying, but I don't think it's worth going through the gymkhana to get back to that point.
