Impressively, the CTS Vsport clocked in a time of 8:14.10. By comparison, that puts it six seconds ahead of the first-gen CTS-V, but 15 seconds behind the second-gen CTS-V. That car put in a 7:59 back in 2009.
Want to know what else the new Vsport is faster than? The list includes: the Mercedes C55 AMG, the Series 2 Lotus Exige S, the Aston Martin DB9, the Porsche 911 (997), the BMW Z4 M Roadster and the Nissan Skyline GT-R R32. That's not exactly a list of Toyota Corollas.

Would be objectively better than ///M and ///AMG if the ATS-v came with a v8. The camaro is literally an ats-v now. With a na v8 the ats-v would officially beat the m3.

There is only a V-Sport trim for the XTS and CTS. The ATS only has the V trim which competes with the M3/M4.

That V-Sport trim package for the CTS consists of a pair of turbos, electronic locking diff and the magnet-o shocks. I handles like it is on rails.

Though the E and S class make the CTS, XTS and CT6 look like second rate luxury in comparison. The only value of Cadillac is their performance in comparison to the Germans.

Big difference from the vanilla CTS, the CTS V Sport (Twin turbo v6 / 420hp) and the CTS-V (supercharged 6.2L / 640hp).
Your poster is a CTS-V. Not sure where you are going to get a car that has that much power, handles like it is on rails and is £75k.

CT6 is a limo and is overpriced. The CTS-v and V Sport are sports sedans and compete with the S5/S6/M5/M6. Different ball game.

We only get the v sport. Obviously the model choice is less here. There's only 2 dealers in the whole of the UK for example. Pity, quite like cadillac as a brand.
My bad, I read your post as what would be comparable to the v sport not the ct6. Swb xj starts from about £60k.

Buying a Vsport there is like buying a Jag. There are about as many dealers... It would be a very similar experience, really.
In the US, people buy the Jag to show that they are not following the heard to BMW/Audi/MB.

Some of the first cars I was ever privileged enough to drive were a 95 3000gt VR-4 and an M package 540I. One with a 330 HP tt v6 and one with a fat German Na V8.
The feeling is just incomparable. No waiting for your turbos to work, no gimmicky 'active aerodynamic adjust', only being shoved back in your seat the very instant your foot shoves that pedal down.
I feel like in a luxury car, I should have that instant gratification available to me at any Rpm in any gear. Something a fat V8 can do, not a prissy Tt v-6
