>Danny kucker

Ayy lmao!

They "ridilly diddley truck out" old civics and Miatas 1990 was 26 years ago

fuck off grandpa

Because boomers want $10,000 for a 67' rolling shell with more rust than metal.

>thinking airbrushing looks good on fucking anything
>being wrong
pick two

Because the parents of the millennial generation bred a bunch of sissy cunts who want to drive "safe" "new" "good" cars instead of rolling around in 2 tonnes of glorious Detroit steel.

Fucking sad too, even an ugly fuck like OP could probably get mad poon if he just drove an old Camaro or Mustang. Instead the only people he attracts driving his NB MX-5 are other ugly butt pirates.

You want retards molesting nice old cars?
Just what every vintage needs. No springs and a spoiler the size of the golden gate bridge.

Driving one of these old cars before the age of 35 is pretty retarded OP. Let the youngsters ride in more affordable cars with good MPG

this

because that's a stupid idea and everyone knows it. cool as hell, but fucking stupid.

Older cars are expensive to maintain, and prices are going up for most cars.

This. Directly because of Boomers, too. A vicious cycle. Those cars used to be fun to mod back then but now they cost too much due to nostalgia tax. So Miatas and Civics it is

>implying I don't have an old car I'm modding and a luxobarge civic
Git gud

I mean an old lancia will be but my truck costs pennies to operate outside of gas mileage.

I can't imagine a 66 mustang coupe would cost much either, and they're pretty crap

>Crap
Cheap*

>'32 Ford
Why keep repeating the same old song?

>crappy old cars
>terrible styling
>slower than a honda civic
>carbeurators
>bad gas mileage
>boomer tax
>boomers in general, t b h

Carbs are great on cars, easy as fuck to figure out. I suck at bike stuff though

I'm not gonna lie. If I had unlimited funds, I'd buy a really rare European hand built bourgeois buggy. Specifically one that's been devalued in some way. Bad condition or not able to be restored anymore for some reason.
And then I'd turn it into a hot rod.
>murikan vee ate
>chop the top
>the more I can mangle it the better
>tfw destroying a rare old car just to go fast for a quarter mile

Ton's of millennials like old cars, you just don't find them shitposting on Veeky Forums.

Ever think that the people you're asking about just happen to like their Civics or Miatas? Not everyone likes hot rods, just like not everyone (like you) likes a Civic or Miata.

Diversity is what makes the world go round.

went to the last classic car day in my town. Don't know about yours but the guys at mine were all 50+, did find a handful of blokes in their late 20s-early 30s. But they all inherited their cars.

>A site populated by weebs prefers jdms and dorriftoing and Kei cars to giant American bathtubs

Gee, I wonder

>American bathtubs

I like the way rogan said it american cars = dinosaur on roller skates

Accessibility

Less restoration work just to go fast

because older cars were the miata or civic of their generation. also its a lot easier and cheaper most of the time to find a miata or civic.

but japs love muscle cars, and since weebs love japs they should love muscle cars too.

Because people like in your picture made TV shows about doing just that, but they also gave the illusion that a piece of shit can be worth $100k with a few weeks of spit and polish. So restorable examples of the car in your pic are $15k with no drivetrain.

So instead the younger generation let's boomers sit on there shit for eternity and mods things they actually can afford

Clearly you don't understand weebs.
Weebs love a romantic vision of Japan. Having never been to Japan, they see all the cool stuff in it. And never the boring or mundane things.
It's the love of the idea of Japan that weebs are enthralled with.

Not the Japan with the huge conservative streak.
Not the Japan that's xenophobic to the point where foreigners can't climb corporate ladders. Not the Japan that pushes men to suicide if they can't climb that corporate ladder.
Not the Japan which has given the world some of the weirdest fetishes, but which is itself one of the most sexually conservative nations out of the developed world.
Not the Japan which has a criminal underworld consisting entirely of old stock families that in many ways are irrelevant.
Not the Japan that smokes up a fucking chimney and kills itself with tobacco.
Not the Japan that has a nearly inaccessible automotive culture due to the insanely high tax rates and ridiculous safety inspections which forces most Japanese to either never have cars, or to buy new ones often.
>taxed for your parking spot which you must have before you get a car
>massive tax break for buying a new car(yay!)
>after first five years and every two years after that, you must pass inspections
>inspections that are ludicrously strict and make Germany's inspections look like an American safety check
>if any part is going to go soon, or if an inspector has a bad day, he can write for you to replace any part on the vehicle in order to put it back on the road
>you also get dinged annually at every inspection for more delicious tax money
>as a result, Japanese used cars often go straight to auction blocks, where they're mostly sold off to New Zealand and irrelevant shithole countries for pennies on the dollar
>oh and motorcycle licensing and insurance is really restrictive
Seriously, Japan's actually pretty shitty to live in. Especially for guys on Veeky Forums.

>then the Japanese learn if they stick their base model Skyline away for a few decades they can sell it to stupid gaijin for 40 grand

All the Skylines went to NZ, Aus and some are going to Canada now. You'll be able to buy one for sixty grand from one of those brit loving bastards.

>JDM and dorifffto and Kei cars are all anyone can afford because boomers want $50k for their classics they put 15 miles on a year

we were until the kids doing it grew up and like with any generation, the worthless cars they drove when they were young now have a sky rocket retail value, hence why you can have a 500k hemi something original something, because nostalgia pays, I don't know why, maybe the community is to blame, demanding no low brawlers because "I know what I have"
or maybe it was the used car industry? maybe both

>Why don't young people trick out old cars instead of drivings civics and mitatas?
Civics and miatas are old cars though

Because most young people can't afford old cars.

I do wonder if car shows 30 years from now will be a bunch of grandpas in Evos, Miatas and other stuff like that while the kids of that generation bitch about 90s Civics costing 40k

Because practicality affordability, reliability, etc.

Why the fuck would someone buy a classic worth a shit for 20-30k when they could buy a 10 year old economical car that's fun to drive for 6-10k?

...

Boomers.

If those faggotwhores didnt buy up every classic car and let them rot in their open yard while turning away people who want to buy it under the premise of "fixing it up someday", I would gladly drive an older car. Gladly.

because any old car worth restoring is $80,000 with no engine, transmission, wheels, or interior.

Prewar cars don't interest me. Besides the Chrysler Airflow and the 39 Ford they all look literally exactly the same. That and they're not really daily driveable since for anything besides a Model A you're gonna have a REALLY hard time finding parts without being able to fabricate them yourself.

because they actually should be spending their money on things that arent a complete waste, like a car that will reliably get them to work every day

>middle age crisis people and rockabilly fans take perfectly good old cars, drop them to the ground, chop the roof and make the seating position akward
>That's ok cause it has character now, but fuck the stancefags.

Both need to stop

Because modifying old cars is custom work, unlike a "custom" civic made from off the shelf parts

Also price

I look at it through the lense of practicality
>2,000lb miata that costs less than $5k with mass produced parts and great mpg
VS
>4,000lb boomer-mobile that costs a ridiculous amount of money with dwindling parts availability and can't break the 15mpg to save it's life.

You can get 18 mpg out of a first gen mustang with a 302 and have more posts availability than the mists could dream of

Do you have a picture of the aftermath?

I'd really love to see what happened when they tried to drive it.

because all of the 240z are fucking rust buckets

>4000 lbs
Nice straw man
>dwindling availability of parts
Are you fucking dumb you can build certain models stright from a catalog every single part for about 60 percent of classics are being reproduced
>miata
>5 grand
If your lucky but yea maybe 5 years ago before people like you started buying them up and selling them for outrageous prices
>can't break 15 mpg
How many of these strawmen do you got laying around?

Nice billet valve train

Just get a falcon and build a mild straight 6 and get around 30

this.

maybe 3% of the metal on this hunk is usable.
ebay.com/itm/1970-Plymouth-Superbird-Tor-Red-440-6-barrel-pack-727-Auto-1970-Satellite-parts-/182311019487?hash=item2a729563df:g:zPAAAOSw8gVX~WvQ&vxp=mtr

This is the exact opposite of how it should be, you may be retarded.

Your completely wrong the reason its being sold for that much is because of the firewall tag and the numbers matching engine, when there's only a handful of those cars left people will go batshit insane for it
Plus you get a satellite too so that ain't too bad

>4,000lb
boomer barges are now starting to weigh less than Modern Carâ„¢
>dwindling parts availability
False, you can get any part for almost any car, new manufacture.
>can't break the 15mpg to save it's life
7 liter V8s regularly got 18+ mpg because they could literally cruise just above idle. It's all about how you tune it. Those massive "boat anchor" V8s don't break a sweat to keep the car moving.

>Build a straight six

That's stupid to do in America. For less money you can have a 302 that puts out more power than the i6 does built, and has a lower cog
>Unless you run a twin carb tunnel ram setup

Lol I had a Honda that the carb was just absolutely fucked every which way. Anecdotal, but I'd rather deal with one 4 barrel than sync 4 individual carbs

Just saying for a pure mpg build you could make a stright 6 that just sips on fuel
Or just a build a 460 and have a rev limiter at 1 grand so you don't have to resist the urge

Nah it's because he saw David Spade buy one on Barrett Jackson for almost a million and wanted to get a piece of that pie.
I will bet you any kind of money he has no idea people rob VINs off junk classics.

If you read the description, he pulled the drivetrain and is selling a "rolling chassis".

>than sync 4 individual carbs
Syncing is so easy, what the fuck is wrong with you?

>miata
>over 5g
bro you're high

Got dam.

I for real want to go to Japan, but it does sound fucking awful for me in the US, being used to the unrestrictive-ness of everything in general.
Cars, porn, shit like variety of mixed races, communities, and culture.

eh, just buy a brand new frame.

cjponyparts.com/dynacorn-complete-body-shell-fastback-1967/p/67FB/

sounds pretty great desu

>Why don't young people trick out old cars instead of drivings civics and mitatas?

Old cars were shitty vehicles when new, and their only value is as rolling folk art. You have to replace everything but the body and that isn't cheap. Then you have to feed the bloated, still ill-handling fuel hog you just built.

Generations of cars get USED UP. Then modders move forward. The "old" cars you see today superseded the earliest hot rods and preceding gow jobs. The nostalgia tax is also the only reason for the spectacularly good automotive aftermarket, so get over it and build something else.

Better yet, get supercar performance with a motorcycle instead of replicating boomer folk art that means nothing to your own era. When you are old and have money then you will buy what you wanted as a yungman if you failed to get it then.

>Old cars were shitty vehicles when new
Post birth certificate fgt

>What the fuck is wrong with you
I'd rather not

Having
>Carbs
On your bike is a meme ;)

Yeah I guess. I think you'd be better off just getting like an original cortina or beetle or Morris Minor or mini if you want fuel economy

>Having
>>Carbs
>On your bike is a meme ;)
Typical words from a nobike

>He fell for the vacuum induction meme

>restoring old rust buckets
Why not just get a super seven kit and make yourself a brand new car?

Do a Google search it isn't that odd

>old cars were shitty when new
>you have to replace everything
>not cheap
Are you 12?
What is a chevy 350
What is a 454
What is a 5 point oh
What is a falcon
Chevelle
Camaro
Mustang
Corvette

Because they want a car with modern conveniences, like a stereo, crash protection, and a chassis that isn't made of wet noodles.
Oh, and unibody construction so the body won't just tear off the frame in an accident.

Affordability, lack of need to try be super edgy and the time they grew up in.

Who the fuck uses a carb these days? Even my shitbox first car was fuel injected. Even my goddamn 125cc Honda has fuel injection.

My crx is far from safe.

Boomers and hotroders already molest old cars with tacky flames, dumb looking roof chops and worst of all 20inch billet wheels.

CIvics wont ever be expensive unless type r models.

They will be like the chevy novas.

Because we're fucking broke, nigger. Also

Depends on what country you live in.

I do ;)

I like carbs, they're pretty simple. Also you don't need an engineering degree to slap one on a small block and make it work

implying being conservative is bad

Kawasaki's KLR 650 is carbed in 2017
The Ninja 250 was carbed until 2007.
Suzuki's SR400 is still carbed.
Lots of bikes run their original tooling and die machines through their whole production life.

It is though.

>stop doing drugs
> stop dressing how i dont like
> only listen to top 40
> graffiti is bad
> just get a corolla
> motorbikes are dangerous
> rock music is degenerate

If your brand of conservatism includes anti vaccination policy, climate change denial, and is an off the cuff way to play off your low key racism, yes. It is bad.
And judging by how you're on Veeky Forums and identify as a conservative, you probably are at least two of those.

socially conservative is, but fiscally conservative is pretty lame.

I actually meant fiscal conservative is up in the air

Does anyone have a list of what Danny has on his garage?

Because I like my old cars the way they came from the factory.

>tfw you are going to molest a perfectly good stock 66 chevelle cause muh street demon

6 or 7 nice cars that are either stock or tastefully modified
And about 700 ruined cars

>tfw I am going to modify the FUCK out of my '65
at least it will be better than stock

Because they still need to be able to daily drive the tricked out car. This is the only reason.

Hey now I'm only 20 and I'm dead set on a 2nd gen camaro as my first car, keep it for as long as possible. Don't jump to conclusions OP.

>cjponyparts.com/dynacorn-complete-body-shell-fastback-1967/p/67FB/

Didn't know that was a thing, neat

Now do that for a Datsun 240z.
Pls

2F2F is the reason.

I can't remember the last time I saw an Eclipse on the road.

I have no knowledge of how for use any sort of tools. I don't even know how I'd get started.

niceee

>20k on a c5 vs 20k on a barely functional piece of shit with less power
>3k for a miata vs 3k for rust
Restoring cars can be fun but functional classics cost a fortune.
