It's very easily played casually if you don't get yourself butthurt about not reaching 60 or getting preraid BiS as quickly as everyone else.

There is an addon (I forget the name) that help with finding other people looking for groups for the dungeons you're interested in too, it'll help give you a better shot at those within a small timeframe.

More or less. You can enjoy most of the content playing casually, you will need to reserve 2 hours to do instances.
It is raids that really is time consuming, it can take up to 4 hours on your average guild (2 hours waiting for the faggots that never show up in time, 2 hours actually doing the raid). You will also need to farm the gold necessary to buy consumables for the raiding, which varies from class to class.
