Just sat in a new Suburban at the Chevy dealership. Noticed that the steering wheel was aligned about an inched to the right of the centre of the seat. Even just sitting there and not driving it, it felt annoying as hell. WHY DO CAR MAKERS DO THIS SHIT??

The wheel in my dad's Sienna is something like three inches off to the right. Infuriating as fuck, because the pedals are all the way over too so you're basically forced to sit at a 15 degree angle if you're not a pile of lard and every time I drive it I bitch the entire time until he puts the radio on.

My Grand Marquis is offset a bit as well, although I'm not actually sure how far because it's got the split bench seat in the front so the driver gets shoved off to the far left anyway due to the curvature of the seat and there's no real 'center'. Not too annoying, though.

Just one more reason why I'll never own anything but Japmobiles.

The steering wheel in the first gen Mazda Cosmo is mounted at an angle with the dash. It drove me crazy.
